Although it's not by a wide margin, I would say in recent years that Glasgow is the better job. The Scotties certainly just completed a very rough year but, there appears to be some good young talent coming up. And you are always going to have good athletes to work with at Glasgow.

Supposedly wants a Louisville job.... Bad. Would make sense. He can probably have whatever job he wants right now considering his run in region 2.

With what he has at Hoptown I'm not sure why he would leave. He has an easier path to the Sweet 16 in the 2nd region compared to the 6/7 regions.

Might be able to make more trips from region 2 but winning the title is tougher. But with re-districting in Christian County and him losing so much off of this team, everybody here thinks this is the time to head on to greener pastures. Some other stuff has also riled some feathers that is best not said on here. Parents aren't happy with some "un-fulfilled" promises. His track record for getting kids to the next level is abysmal considering the talent he's had over the last 4 years.

 

He's a heck of a coach but he definitely has his shortcomings.

Until it is official I would not chalk it up, but I have heard several kids say it is Roy Sutton that will be the new Moore HS varsity coach replacing Lemon. Roy is a great young coach who works well with kids on and off the court. His recent coaching experience has been at Fern Creek as an assistant the past two years with Coach Schooler.

 

Moore job is no longer listed as open on JCPS. Haven't heard/read any official hire.

Where is Haworth from? Wasn't he an assistant coach in college for a while? Maybe Murray?

I don't think this will be the year Haworth moves on for a couple reasons.

#1 - No real interesting jobs open at the present moment in an area he would be interested in.

#2 - He has a very strong team next year with Atilola becoming eligible to play. He has never had a true big man at Hoptown, and he has always wanted to coach one. Johnson, Cager, and Henangan return make them a preseason top 20 team easily.

#3 - He has great rapport with the new principal, which he didn't so much with the previous principal which caused some problems. Those seem to be gone now.

 

I only think he leaves if a quality program is looking for a coach. I don't think he bolts just to coach in Louisville.

Louisville Male is open I would consider that very quality. The only jobs equal or better to Male:

 

Ballard- Not Opening soon

Eastern- no clue

Manual- not Opening soon

PRP- Will open soon maybe and will be very interesting when it does. But who knows when he will retire.

Trinity- ?

St. X- Not going to none St. X guy not opening soon.

Central- Not opening soon

Louisville is more than the 7th region. It includes the 6th also. Since 1985 so past 30 champions

6th region

4 titles 2 runner-ups

 

7th region

5 titles 8 runner-ups

 

A Louisville school has played in the final game 19 of the last 30 state championship games.
