I heard that they were reporting that he was looking to take the Bentonville job on ESPN this am.

I would guess the job would go to Coverdale IF he would want to be a head coach.

I listen to ESPN radio and on the section where they report some local news, I heard them mention Trinity Head Coach Bob Beatty has applied for a HC position in Arkansas. Did not hear he was looking to take it. I also read where Bentonville wants to get down to 8-10 finalists and then announce the decision by March 16. If he does get it things for Trinity would move pretty fast and I am sure the AD and Coach Beatty have discussed what the coach is doing and just how much prep work the Athletic office needs to do to be ready in case he gets it. As for who, I am betting that discussion has happened/will happen soon between Beatty, Coverdale and the Athletic office on anyone on staff being a candidate. But I believe it will be a national search which could include anyone local.

Forgive me....you're right...he did.....multiple years ago....moved into a loaded condo by where his house was....

He sold his home a few years ago and lives in a condo since his kids are out of the nest.

I am sure this will not happen, but I would like for Trinity to hire a Trinity Man.

Unlike St X I would like for him to be qualified to hit the ground running.

I know of someone here in town, but I don't think he will even be considered.

This would be a national search, no doubt about it, even if Andrew Coverdale wanted the job. That being said, if a new coach were to come in and not keep AC, he should be fired immediately.

 

Coverdale is a savant when it comes to offense and is also very underrated for his defensive mind. He was in a bad situation at Castle and is proven to be a winner regardless of that series of events. I have seen him speak at many clinics and I can attest to you, he could have an NFL job if he wants it.
