If Coach Beatty leaves Trinity, who would take over as head coach?

Featured Replies

Would Trinity hire from within? Or would Trinity do a national search?

Chris Wolfe? That is who I would go after!

Really? Two years in a row now he's had the best talent in the state. What does he have to show for it?

Well, you also just described Nick Saban. Plus Wolfe has 2 wins over Trinty the last 2 years.

It either has to be Coach Coverdale or National Search, correct?

I'm rolling with Coverdale if he wants it. I just don't know if he wants it, then it'll be a national deal.

Wouldn't want Nick Saban either. Actually he has 3 wins over Trinity in the past 2 years, my point is that with the talent Male had on those teams he probably should have had 4 and at least 1 if not 2 championships.

Then it begs the question, would the new coach want Coverdale?

I know what your saying. I'm just pointing out that's not how it works and giving a real world example.

As good as Coverdale is if you go to the trouble of bringing in a national level guy he probably has his own offense. Beatty did keep Coverdale though. He was originally hired by someone else.

Which means if Coverdale doesn't want the job and/or it isn't offered to him, he may have to find another job.

Which also means Coverdale could apply for the head job even though he may not want to be a head coach again.

This stuff gets deep...

I'd hate to QB coach Oscar Brohm go. He's been very important in the development of T's QB's over the years. It's none of my business but I don't even know if he gets paid.
