Which means if Coverdale doesn't want the job and/or it isn't offered to him, he may have to find another job.

 

Which also means Coverdale could apply for the head job even though he may not want to be a head coach again.

I'd say it would be a national search whether Trinity planned for it to be a national search or not. I'd imagine the list of applicants would be from all over the nation with some extremely impressive resumes.

I bet he is a great teacher. My high school football coach (Bernie Barre) was also an excellent teacher, loved his class and learned a lot.

 

And I hate to say it because I know everything is ultra important at Trinity but I think this is a case where you are the head football coach first and a great teacher second.

Another fact that I would Love to state here.... I was a member of multiple state championship teams at Trinity during the 50 game win streak from '88 to '91..... Trinity will Always be a State Championship Contender With or Without Coach Beatty..... But I will say this..... I'm not sure we will Ever experience the success we have had with Coach Beatty at the helm, not sure if that would Ever be possible again.... It's really MInd Boggling if you look at his record..... Just Incredible....

And for those that don't know... Dr. Rob Mullen is One of a kind, just a True Special individual, Trinity is in Good Hands no matter what....

I hope we are not getting way ahead of ourselves.

 

He has just been mentioned as an applicant. A lot of things can happen.

 

Anybody know if he has even had an interview yet?

As good as Coverdale is if you go to the trouble of bringing in a national level guy he probably has his own offense. Beatty did keep Coverdale though. He was originally hired by someone else.

Coverdale came in w/ Kevin Wright & stayed on when Beatty was hired after Wright departed.

So technically he hired him twice...

I hope he stays. If he does go, I'll be one of the first in line to shake his hand and wish him well. I'll thank him too for everything he has done. Trinity Forever!
