February 20, 201511 yr UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Iraq's ambassador to the United Nations asked the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday to look at allegations that the Islamic State group is using organ harvesting as a way to finance its operations. Ambassador Mohamed Alhakim told reporters that in the past few weeks, bodies with surgical incisions and missing kidneys or other body parts have been found in shallow mass graves. "We have bodies. Come and examine them," he said. "It is clear they are missing certain parts." He also said a dozen doctors have been "executed" in Mosul for refusing to participate in organ harvesting. February 20, 201511 yr I think putting troops into the middle east is a loser. The people there will never appreciate anything we do and we will never be able to use our military to bring peace to the region. However, as I hear and see more and more of these types of stories on ISIL, I become more of a supporter of bringing the full power of the US military down upon ISIL.

I honestly think that is why their acts are so extreme; I believe it is an attempt to draw us into a prolonged ground fight. It is up to the people of these countries/regions to grow tired of these antics and fight back themselves. Until that starts to happen nothing will change and we should stay out of it.

I think we need to put all the middle eastern countries on the spot. You are either with us or against us and if you are not with us and ISIS takes control of your country then we take your whole country out. I know this is extreme and some innocents will die but ISIS wouldn't be around long.
February 20, 201511 yr This situation seems to be more and more like the Nazi takeover of the last century. I think people of these countries are just plain afraid to speak up or get confrontational against ISIS. They don't realize that the lessons of history teach that "not getting involved" is a bad option until it is too late. It may already be too late.
February 20, 201511 yr Author Even though there is no proof or evidence of the claim made by Iraq's ambassador to the United Nations yet that they are indeed harvesting organs, ISIS is pure evil and I wouldn't put it past them. Something has to be done soon to stop these murderers.
February 20, 201511 yr Anybody got a price list from them...I'm in the market for a new heart! Pretty smart, aren't they.
February 20, 201511 yr Until that starts to happen nothing will change and we should stay out of it. But, the thing is, if we do stay out of it, a group like ISIS will eventually attack the US. or U.S. interests. Groups like ISIS would still be hunting us just for existing. You cannot allow a group like this to gain steam. Just look at Hitler, he could have been stopped in the mid to late 30's, people allowed him to do one thing or anther, they sacrificed a country or two thinking he won't want more. A lot of lives would have been saves, and a lot of future problems solved if he would have been stopped. If these countries don't stop them (I get it, they may be afraid and they may not be capable of doing the job), then someone has to stop them, before it's too late.
February 20, 201511 yr I think we need to put all the middle eastern countries on the spot. You are either with us or against us and if you are not with us I agree with this part. We have to convince them that they are not in this alone, that we all will defeat ISIS, and that we will not leave them as long as they don't leave us. But going back in history, even as recent as the past year, the U.S. has back out of helping, or an agreement. These people have to be shown that we are honest and that this is a global effort.
February 20, 201511 yr You can't fight this with economic sanctions, and you certainly can't fight it when the CIC believes that unemployment is the driving factor behind them doing all the things they are doing ! This grouping of people (region of the world) have been killing each other with sticks and rocks for centuries. We are arrogant to believe that we can stop it with our current strategy. It won't happen. Ground fighting is not the answer, in particular when the engagement rules are against you. Collateral damage is tough to stomach at times, but I just don't know how else you make something like this happen without massive damage to the areas where they operate. I find it a little hard to believe that these animals are harvesting and selling organs. I'm no doctor, but don't you have to have some legitimate source and receiver validation to make organ harvesting a viable business ?

Given the choice between death and black market, black market can name their price.
February 20, 201511 yr To be more clear, I would get my crayons out and make a list of which countries are 100% in with the United States of America and actively going to use all their resources to fight ISIS. Next I would make a list that includes all the countries that are not 100% in with us fighting ISIS/Terrorism/Etc. The ones that are 100% in with us would receive our full support until the end of time. The others, we all get to sit back and watch the wars unfold. Furthermore, I would make it known to ISIS that the countries on the other list are completely on their own should you choose to convert/attack them. We need to be very aggressive world leaders on this issue and I don't give a you know what, what any other country thinks about it.
