I've always thought that both he and Rozier dribble too much. I don't think UL has good chemistry this year. I don't know what the real story was with Harrell giving up the captaincy of the team. Some bad body language on Jones's part. Hope the Cards can get it all together before it's too late.

But Pitino will show you the bench if you mess up. But my feeling is that he won't bench you for an entire half in favor of Quentin Snider unless you've been a complete meat head on and off the court for an extended time.

Maybe Harrell will get some touches this game besides rebounding and taking the ball out of bounds after made baskets.:popcorn:

I haven't been a fan of Jones since he got here. Sure he has helped in some critical times, but he's a ball hog and a score-first point guard. Let Q play and get his minutes, his time is more important anyway, IMO.

He is a SG trapped in the PG position. In Juco he lead his team in scoring and that is what he has always wanted to do here. Rick wants a Peyton Siva. He has that in Q.

 

Not sure what Jones did but I look for him to be back this weekend.

I feel like the actual length of Jones' suspension — and whether it's permanent or not — is directly proportionate to how well Louisville plays tonight.

And he's probably genuine on that. It all depends on how tonight goes.

After all of these years you pretty much have to take what Pitino says with a grain of salt.

 

When he was at UK he was known for hyperbole and as time wore on even with the Celtics, it didn't mean a whole bunch.

He did a total 180 from the pregame to postgame interview tonight.

Pregame--"I don't know if he will make it back at all"...something to that effect.

Postgame--"He got the outside stuff cleared up and he needs to do what the assistant coaches had him set up to do."

 

Meaning, he will be playing this weekend.

 

I'm guessing he got busted doing something and the university nailed him and then the coaches gave him some things he had to do. If he does it then he plays.
