You mean Jefferson County Male High School?

Well, the official name is Louisville Male High School. That's what it says on the front door, on their website, etc. Technically, it was erroneously placed in the M category. It is the only Louisville public high school that actually begins with Louisville.

Manual, belongs in the D category. IMO, if it's on your website, it's your name.

So your saying from a financial standpoint Trinity is not head and shoulders above Trigg Co. with regard to resources etc. I know not all students come from rich familys but I would be willing to bet that there is quite a disparity between the average household income of a student at Trinity when compared to a student at Trigg.

The quote I referenced implied something completely different than the point you are trying to make.

What are you implying? I'm pretty sure there are many sociological and economical differences from the fathers of Trinity players compared to those in other parts of the state, especially Trigg Co. How many Trinity players have to work in a tobacco patch during the day and go to evening practice? How many of them are able to pay their own way to summer skills camps as opposed to begging other resources or getting help from outside the family to go? I'm not saying this occurs only at Trinity because it doesn't. I'm sure it happens at St. X and Lexington Catholic among others. But to say it doesn't exist and isn't a factor is blind on your part.

Fair enough, but I do believe that financial advantages do translate into athletic succes to some degree. And again I am not lumping all Trinity students into this category, in fact it is possible that a Trigg student could fit into the following description. I know of a baseball player at an Indiana private high school, who's parents have built a pole barn for the specific purpose of housing a batting cage w/ pitching machine. Many kids today, benefit from private off season instruction, personal trainers, expensive camps, traveling teams, and even clinic designed to improve speed and quickness. In addition well off parents will often given their children an ample allowance so that they do not feel the need to seek employement, which keeps them away from off season practice, workouts, camps etc.

I think that when comparing two schools that the financials resources available to the players either from the schools themselves or individually from parents etc, are a factor, that should be considered.

But just as you stated with Male (but weren't they JCMH at one point? I probably just got mixed up), then Male should be under the Ls. NOBODY who graduated from Manual, unless they're being ironic/funny/sarcastic/extremely literal refers to it as DuPont, or DuPont Manual, and if they are, they usually go for the full effect as:

duPont Manual: The Magnet High School

But whatever, no big deal. I'm just saying.

What are you implying?

I'm implying that you do not know what you are talking about when it comes to Trinity. You voted for Trigg because Trinity may have some kids that come from money. You then equated that all of Trinity's success comes from money. I guess that's a classic class-warfare tactic. “They bought their success.” NOTHING could be farther from the truth. If it were only that easy…

Thank you WestKY for you well-worded response :thumb: . Nonetheless, when you look at the criteria the Scribe has established for consideration of your vote, there is no catagory for "I wish I could've". Trigg Co. competes annually against schools within the 2A catagory and has nothing to show in the trophy case. Why are they losing against comparable oposition at crunch time?

P.S.: I really feel stupid taking up for the dreaded Landfill Gang...but what's right is right. I should go back to the thread on "S" teams.

Thanks for your support OX! I would just let it go. People will vote against T (and X) just because they don't like us. It's ok. I do not even know where Trigg Co. is.

What's the matter with you Ox! Too much allergy medicine?

Trinity end of story....

the rest are just haters.

Anyone who doesn't vote for Trinity is out of their mind.

With all due respect, it's no less "right" in this letter's category than any other. It's funny it took a thread with a "big 3" school to acutely demonstate what's happened in these polls.

IMO, the biggest factoid these threads have proven is...the majority of voters are "homers" and/or vote "popular".

I'm really disappointed in the lack of historical knowledge these threads have shown exists regarding this state's high school football history.

Actually, I'm having fun watching my poor friends from X cough up furballs after defending Trinity in this thread :D

I don't think those voting for Trinity are homers. There simply aren't that many T/X posters on the board.

Looking at the last winners, it think there's a good case for the schools that won. Some wins may have leaned more heavily on one point of criteria than another letter's schools, but I don't think it's a matter of the majority voting "homer".

What's the matter with you Ox! Too much allergy medicine?

I think you may have hit it; I am taking allergy medicine! :ylsuper:
