Aaron Rodgers named MVP

Featured Replies

He was very deserving. I don't see much problem with this.

Best QB in the NFL. 2015 MVP. Goes home to Olivia Munn every night. It's good to be A A Ron

38-5 is nice but he had multiple dud games on the road. JJ Watt was dominant and also scored four offensive TDs.

The way the game is now it is almost impossible for a non QB to be the MVP. They are just WAY more important than any other player on the field. I love Watt but his team did not make the playoffs and they have a very good roster........except at the QB position. A defensive lineman just cannot impact a game like the QB. Let me be clear that I think JJ Watt is the best defensive lineman in the NFL and I would love to have him on my team - he is a freak...but not one GM in the league would tell you that they would rather have Watt than any elite QB (Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Brees, etc.)...not one.

If Rec could get a GM job , watch out.

Completely agree. He had a great year.

In related news, the sun is scheduled to rise in the east tomorrow morning.

This. Not that he was putrid on the road every week, but his numbers were so overwhelming at home, it masked for his road woes.

Sure would have liked to have seen him in the Super Bowl

Watts affects 10-15 plays a game. Rogers affects 50-60. There's not even an argument for a defensive player over a QB.

10-15 plays Watt's name is probably called. That doesn't mean he is not affecting the game on many others. But it's a QB league so I get it.

Texans went 9-7 and didn't make the playoffs. How much of an MVP could he be? it's an offensive league. Individual defensive players just can't have enough impact on a season to make that big of a difference.

I never said he should be MVP. I said it's a QB league so I get it. With video game offensive number due to the evolution or the game, a defender's impact will never be that so it can overtake the stats of an offensive player. If this was 20 years ago, Watt is the MVP.
