Harland County is bigger than Paducah Tilgham I believe. Don't know how many it seats though.

I am biased in saying this one, but Ludlow's James Rigney Stadium has to be one of my favorite atmospheres. I'm not 100% sure on the capacity, but being a coach for many visiting teams that have playe

IN deep west the 3 largest would be PT, Mayfield and Stadium of Champions in Hoptown that I can think of

Tilghman holds 8,000 but only seats 25 on friday nights.. Oh how things have changed

Madisonville's Badgett Athletic Complex is listed at 5,000...same as Hoptown's Stadium of Champions.

I think Danville has a nice size football stadium. I like that there visitors side has a lot of room.

Agreed. Danville is a very nice place. Garrard almost always plays at Danville early in the season when it is hot out, which makes the shaded visitors side much more comfortable than the home side in the sun!

Was at the Madisonville/Henderson game a couple years ago. Was very impressed with the Madisonville facility.

I'm not sure if Harlan County is bigger than Tilghman, but there isn't much difference. The chairback seats at Harlan make it exceptional, though. The area around the facility at Harlan County is also top notch. I'd recommend anyone who likes high school football to go to a game there at least once.

KHSAA site says it's a huge difference. Harlan Co. is listed as 5,000 capacity to PT's 8,500.

I am not saying people lie, but it always seems some of these numbers are inflated, no? I guess going bleachers style you can cram in a lot more than what is realistic.

Maybe so. I've been to a game at Harlan County and been to the field at Tilghman (not in the bleachers). I'd say where the difference comes in is with Harlan County having so many chairbacks. Bleacher seats aren't nearly as wide. I'd like an official count. :lol2:

A fair cop.

Didn't PT do renovations on their stadium in recent years?

It worked :thumb: overhead view is pretty cool too.

Did you see "Fosko" on the sideline.

Is the entire stadium at Harlan chairbacks? That would be impressive if it is.
