January 21, 201511 yr Does anyone have a Fitbit (or similar device)? I'm looking to get something that tracks exercise, calories, steps, sleep, etc. Fitbit seems like the most popular but I wanted to see what, if anything, BGP uses.

Daughter used to use it all the time, but once graduate school started in earnest, she stopped.
January 21, 201511 yr I bought my wife one. She loves it. Make sure the model you get is compatible with your phone. Some of the newer models aren't compatible with the older I phones.
January 21, 201511 yr Author ..... I have the Jawbone UP24. Love it. I KNEW you would have one. What all does the Jawbone do? I assume they all sync With iPhones.
January 21, 201511 yr I have a FitBit One. I haven't had it long enough to love it, but it is a nice little piece of motivation.
January 21, 201511 yr The Fitbit Charge is a nice one. Has a screen on the device where you can keep an active track of your info.
January 21, 201511 yr I have had my fitbit Force (the one that was recalled) for over a year. I love it and wear it every day. It syncs with my lose it app and my Humana Vitality program. My friend has the Charge and she is very pleased with it. I like that the new ones notify you when you get a call and some have HR options.
January 21, 201511 yr What all does the Jawbone do? I assume they all sync With iPhones. Does all of the things you reference above, gives reminders when you haven't been active for a period of time, provides really cool sleep info, and will track your caloric intake (but I use a different app for that). Comfortable, not too clunky, and yes, works in perfect conjunction with iPhones and Android devices. Wife has one as well in pink...that would be good for you.
January 21, 201511 yr Just got an email on my work phone that ATT is having a sale on Fitbits. Believe it's 15% don't go back to work until tomorrow so I'm not 100% sure on details.

I have been using Myfitnesspal which tracks caloric intake (and can be alarming at times). I'm more interested in tracking my activities (i.e. steps, exercise) and sleep (just for fun).
January 21, 201511 yr I'm on my 2nd Fitbit Zip love it! I tried the Flex didn't like it as much as my Zip because it was smaller for me to wear. I wear it everyday and love the fact it holds me accountable. I received my India badge last week (enough miles to walk the length of India). A great feature is I have folks I train(I'm an ACE certified personal trainer)which I can go into the app & see if they're hitting their goals then make changes to their training plans if needed. It is a great motivator by providing badges when hitting different goals ie. 10,000, 15,000, etc. steps. Another thing is you can have friends and share goals making it fun to have some contests.
