Bob Crable to Covington Catholic?

Featured Replies

Bob Crable is an animal (term of endearment) and would be an interesting choice for CovCath's new coach. Frankly, I am not sure some of the powder puff CCH Parents will be able to stomach Crable but he may be just what CCH needs.

Anyone?

Plenty I know.

At the same time, plenty of tough ones too.

Can you explain what you mean by powder puff?

From what I heard about Crable, he will not take any crap from parents, and they will get more than an ear full as well in response.

hhmmm....Ssounds very familiar to a basketball coach I know that is currently at CCH.....

Wonder if Crable would want to put that much time into it since his boy will be playing college ball soon. He doesn't really need the money. Not that there is a lot of it. I would say no on him because of wanting to watch his son play.

I'd hire him every day of the week and twice on Sundays. I agree with guru, though, that there are some parents at Cov Cath who think paying tuition for their kids entitles them to run the entire show, and those folks would NOT like Bob's style of telling them where they can shove it.

The heck with "those folks" - he, or a guy just like him, would be PERFECT!!!

For the football program, yes. For the capital campaign, maybe not.

Sounds like a past coach at one of the rivals. Came in and turned the program around, couple state titles, and politely asked to leave. Great coach, terrible people person which makes it hard to get the community on board.

Ted Edgington will be hired, not a doubt in my mind. I have been hearing his name for years now, only a matter of time.
