For anyone interested, American Sniper will be showing at Rave Cinemas in Florence Thursday Night.

show times 7pm 8:15pm 10:30pm and 11:30 pm

 

Yes I will be there Thursday night :)

Well I can't go til Friday, so let's hear your opinion on Friday morn!

This is THE Movie. Will actually watch the Oscars because of it. Hoping for Best Picture,Actor and Director. Afraid it's not the Hollywood-type though, probably Selma will win best picture.

You are probably right because Selma is the "Politically Correct Choice"

 

Hope it doesn't have the same fate as Lone survivor had because Hollywood doesn't like the subject matter they widely ignore it.

Just got back from the movie.

 

Great movie and highly recommend it.

I will only say that every seat was taken and I have never, ever, been engulfed in so much silence after the movie as people were leaving.

 

It was so powerful that it reminded me of leaving a funeral.

Yep..Although I watched it at my house I can see this being that type of movie..Not many reach that level..:thumb:

That's what it was like watching Lone Survivor in the theatre.

Yes, it was similar with Lone Survivor, but this movie you can multiply that feeling 10 fold. The reason is, they did something very clever with this movie when they run the credits at the very end. There is no music. It is dead silence and I guarantee they did it on purpose to add to the affect and boy did it work.
