January 2, 201511 yr Wahhhh, the post game handshake is the most overrated aspect in all of sports at all levels. I wouldn't shake hands either. My last game of organized sports I didn't shake hands with the guys that beat me. Post game handshakes are stupid. I'm glad they didn't shake hands. Well, to me it shows sportsmanship and class. If you don't want to show it when your down, it tells me a lot. I'm not going to get in an argument with you over the lack of respect shown. I'm rather surprised by your stance. I'm out.

January 2, 201511 yr I have no worry about their future - none. You can agree or disagree, but character issues have typically gone hand in hand with some of the best talent. The irony of the declines of some of the teams you've compared them to over the last few weeks is that when they try to get away from some of those players with character issues - they've walked away from talent and that's what CAUSED the decline. Urban recruited a ton, a TON of questionable character guys to UF. It matters not that his most visible one was one of the greatest men to ever play the game, he had a ton of character issues on those teams. It's when he left and they attempted to clean all that up that stuff went down. Same thing with some of the Miami times in the past. Florida State just lost for the first time in two years. They will likely have a step down next year as the offense turns over, but the recruiting has remained incredibly strong and Jimbo has done a great job at FSU so far. I have no worries about them at all. Um, no.... Urban said when he left UF that the program was broken. He took too many of those guys, won a ton, but eventually that culture takes over and destroys a program. His highest rated (and last full class) graduated last year. Tons of talent but no discipline. Miami's demise came with those guys. Coker was such a see no evil that it eventually led to an on the field brawl. With those kinds of players. His last season saw them win 5 or 6 games. The slide happened along with those players and not because they're no longer there. Believe what you want but talked to any FCS coach. They get a ton of guys who get kicked out of school in the big boys and come down to play right away. I have had more than a few of them tell me that you want some of those kids but you don't want a team full of them.

I've been against postgame handshakes at all levels for as long as I have been on BGP. I've never shied away from my anti-postgame handshake views.
