Nobody was raped. How many times does that case need to be thrown out before folks recognize that fact? And keep in mind that a judge independent from FSU came in and ruled in the student conduct code case before you start hollering about how everyone tried to cover stuff up for FSU. It's sad that people wish he had raped that girl just so they can have their hatred validated.

What's sad is that people refuse to believe an athlete would ever rape a girl simply because they play for their favorite team. Did he, or didn't he, I don't know. From the evidence that came out, I do know that it should've at least went to trial. The fact that Florida State did nothing at all for the sake of winning football games is deplorable, as is defending their actions.

Wrong. I'll believe an athlete raped a girl when it can be proven a girl was raped. I'm not going to speculate or assume a girl was raped when NOBODY wants to press charges for sexual assault after they investigated the case. More evidence came out as a result of the student conduct code hearing. Or did you just dismiss that as well?

Let me rephrase it, they deserved all of it that didn't cross the line.

 

A lot depends on who the quarterback is. Cook, Rudolph and Wilson should be back. Rumors are that Braxton Miller is coming to FSU but even if he does I don't know if he'll be eligible immediately. I trust Jimbo though. He's done a bang up job since taking over from Bobby.

It won't be fully clear until we know everyone who is going pro. The entire O-Line with the exception of Roderick Johnson at LT is gone. Erving and Jackson are gargantuan losses on that side of the ball. Backup center Ryan Hoefield (I believe) started a few games after the original one Barron went down and before Erving moved into that position, so they do have some experience returning, but it's a big change. O'Leary and Greene are big losses. Karlos Williams was a nice back and has graduated, but ultimately, he wasn't really as great as hoped. Cook will be ready to be the man full-time next year. We'll have to see on Winston. I think he would go pro but before this season he was talking about coming back. A lot of people thought he wouldn't come back to avoid any fallout from the COC hearing, but nothing happened there, so we'll have to see. If he returned, it would go a long, long way. If he doesn't, FSU's offense will take an even further step back. It will not be their strength next year like this one.

 

Defensively you would assume Eddie Goldman and Mario Edwards go pro, but they don't have to. Desmond Hollin at DE is in fact the only senior on the entire defense. Nick Waisome (CB) is the only other one even on the two-deep. So in theory, FSU could have almost everyone back and you could see them turn back into the type of D that we expect from FSU. Ronald Darby at CB may go pro as well, but I think max you're looking at four guys gone on the defense, and best case scenario is just one.

After last night Winston was talking about coming back. He'd be crazy to do that though. He's projected in the top 5 or so. No way he stays there with another year of college, he's too dumb off the field. Go make your money.
