Urban said when he left UF that the program was broken. He took too many of those guys, won a ton, but eventually that culture takes over and destroys a program. His highest rated (and last full class) graduated last year. Tons of talent but no discipline.

 

Miami's demise came with those guys. Coker was such a see no evil that it eventually led to an on the field brawl. With those kinds of players. His last season saw them win 5 or 6 games. The slide happened along with those players and not because they're no longer there.

 

Believe what you want but talked to any FCS coach. They get a ton of guys who get kicked out of school in the big boys and come down to play right away. I have had more than a few of them tell me that you want some of those kids but you don't want a team full of them.

 

Honestly, I'm spent and no longer in front of a computer to answer, so I will simply leave it at this - I have no worries about where they're at currently. Perhaps time will prove you right, but I have seen little to suggest that the program is in peril longterm.

Pathetic. Like I said in another thread. FSU is really teetering on going down a bad path.

 

If I'm a Seminole fan I'd be worried about the future. Great talent, good coaching, but potentially poor character by many of their players.

 

Lots of off the field stuff. Quit tonight when they felt like the game was over. Most didn't shake hands.

 

Winning covers up a lot of things.

 

This loss may be good to address things not reflected on the scoreboard.

Interesting to read that Jameis plans on playing baseball at FSU this spring. I assumed he would have been working on getting ready for the draft.

Absolutely. They did what they were asked to do. Won every game and won their conference championship. Just because you don't like FSU doesn't mean they didn't belong in the playoffs and their performance in this game doesn't change that.
