December 29, 201411 yr Who is your MVP for the 2014 season? The idea of JJ Watt being MVP has grown on me the last few weeks. No team was better than 12-4 and there were a bunch of 11-5 teams, so no one TEAM stands out (theory of QB on the best team winning it) . Aaron Rogers seems to be the front runner but what can a quarterback do statistically to deserve it--4000 yards and 40 touchdowns are routine now. I wouldn't mind seeing a non-QB win it. For the record, Watt's final stats: 20.5 sacks, 78 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 5 recovered fumbles, 10 passes defended, 1 INT, 2 return TD's, 1 safety, and 3 receiving TD's
December 29, 201411 yr If you're looking for a non-QB, then it has to be Leveon Bell. I believe it's easily Aaron Rodgers though. I do like JJ Watt a lot and think he's a great ambassador for the game.
December 29, 201411 yr Aaron Rodgers. Plain and simple. I can't go with Rodgers simply on how he has looked on the road. The Packers have looked pedestrian on the road, including Rodgers. At home, video game like. I think it should be Brady, but it doesn't appear he is getting much traction. After the debacle in Kansas City in week 3 (?), no QB was better, imo.
December 29, 201411 yr I can't believe Demarco Murray and romo aren't in conversation. 8-0 on the road. Tony has 20 td and 2 turnovers on road. Murray broke Cowboys rushing record this year.

December 29, 201411 yr It's about as wide open of a race as I can remember. My top 7 in order. Rodgers 1a, Watt 1b, Murray, Bell, Brady, Romo, Wilson.

December 29, 201411 yr Watt, Rodgers, Bell, Romo, Brady, and Wilson are my top 6. I'd probably rank them: 1) Watt 2) Rodgers 3) Wilson 4) Bell 5) Brady 6) Romo
December 29, 201411 yr Is it tough for anyone else to name an MVP of the league for a team that didn't make the playoffs? I think that's what keeps Watt from winning.
December 29, 201411 yr Is it tough for anyone else to name an MVP of the league for a team that didn't make the playoffs? I think that's what keeps Watt from winning. Very seldom do you see it, especially in the NFL. Not sure it has happened, has it? Did Barry Sanders ever do it?
December 29, 201411 yr Watt, Rodgers, Bell, Romo, Brady, and Wilson are my top 6. I'd probably rank them: 1) Watt 2) Rodgers 3) Wilson 4) Bell 5) Brady 6) Romo No Demarco Murray?
December 29, 201411 yr No Demarco Murray? Ehh, he's probably #7 on my list. Didn't want to have multiple guys from one team. Went with Romo because when he was out, they looked terrible. When Murray was hurt/limited, they still trucked a playoff team.
December 29, 201411 yr Reading from multiple analysts that this is going to be Romo's year. If so, congrats. I'm sure it's relieving that he can even have the possibility of recieving this award after so much criticism over the years.
