I was wondering - do u also love tournaments for only the large schools?

I am not sure if anyone cares about the mega schools. When I watch highlites on tv, I dont see any more patrons in the stands per capita as I see for smaller schools. By the way, I am not sure this is a truly small school event like it used to be. (i.e. Dilce Combs vs Fulton Co in the boys many moons ago)

I had not caught until now that a non KHSAA tournament was scheduled during school hours.

Why do they have this tourney? I thought these teams are qualified to compete in the Districts/Regional/Sweet 16?

It's basically a state wide invitational tournament.

Because the state is only one class so the smaller schools usually get left out, because the competition level is most tomes too much for the small schools. If the state would classify basketball (like they should) this tournament would probably go away.

I didn't want to take the thread to where RCC9 has to jump in.

Just thought it was odd that an invitational tournament would be during regular school hours.

Is that because so many of the schools are private?
