All "A" State Brackets Released

Featured Replies

So if Highlands were public and an all "A" school and your beloved team were in that situation what recommendation would you have for the school and students? Academics or support your team? Willing bet $20 on the answer!!! Do not mean to question you and respect your very enjoyable post but just curious in this situation if the scenarios were different

First of all Highlands is public and not an All A school. But I'll play along. Because last year I did ask our AD out of curiosity if applicable, what would HHS do in your very scenario. And the answer was...if it wasn't a State competition and sponsored by the KHSAA, he doubted they would play in it...and yes, due to missing school. They are pretty strict on that kind of stuff at Highlands. In fact very strict. Pretty much why they are the number one academic public school in the state. Of course that was a hypothetical question and if posed and they were really playing in the tournament it might be a different answer, I have no idea. But after a brief thought, that was his answer.

And BTW...I really posed that as a serious question. I had no idea what the answer would be.
