December 30, 201411 yr At Least one journalist is comparing Kyle to a mass murderer/serial killer ?American Sniper? Chris Kyle Was a Brainwashed Mass Murderer Like Lee Malvo? Even though I don't expect them to admit, it I think several on here feel the same as Max Blumenthal. I knew it would be a matter of time before the War Protesters started attacking this movie.

October 9, 201510 yr I've watched it twice on HBO this week plus saw it twice at the theater. Still as powerful as the first time I saw it.
October 9, 201510 yr They filmed the scene showing him getting killed but left it out at his wife's request. She didn't want get kids to see that any time the the movie was on and to his credit Eastwood left it out of the movie... The ending to that movie is hard enough to watch without that scene.

There were two reasons it didn't live up to my lofty expectations. First, I waited too long and built it up too much in my head. Second, I know they're different in so many ways, but I can't help but compare it to The Lone Survivor and that movie was so awesome.

Second, I know they're different in so many ways, but I can't help but compare it to The Lone Survivor and that movie was so awesome. Both were really good, I read both books way before the movies and Sniper stayed closer to the events of the book than did Survivor. Both movies had some scenes or events that were pure fiction. Survivor's pace once the shooting game starts is insane and keeps you on edge the rest of the movie. Sniper ramps up and down emotionally more. Bottom line I really liked both.
