If he's able to keep up with the speed of the game at a Varsity level, he will be a threat defensively and offensively because of size alone. I have noticed that his footwork is not too bad for kid with that size.

Still wrong on birthdays!! Also Wayne Co. for example starting five are the same way!!Lot of kids are same way across the region and state are aged that way!

You guys are underestimating the Scott High School Freshman team. Players such as Freshmen : Nelson Perrin, Jacob Pouncy, Logan Fulmer.

8th Graders : Chad Ohmer, Clay Coleman, Trey Miester.

I think he was referring to a previous post you made that said either Butt or Fitzgerald was born in August. These are the correct birthdays that you just listed.

Butt and Fitzgerald are not 2 year hold backs but they are holdbacks with very good birthdays.

I know I am probably missing a kid or two but off the top of my head I cant think of a starter off SW, Pulaski, Somerset, Wayne, Knox, North Laurel and Clay co that is not a holdback.

We are quibbling over semantics.

Who cares what their age is. They are making an impact on JV and varsity now as freshman. They are all good ball players. In the 9th all of these guys mentioned are good. Big Jake must have worked hard on his footwork, have not saw him since AAU and thought the one thing he needed was footwork. Good to see he has. Gunnar Gilas from Anderson Co. is a very god freshman 6'5 with moves in the post and ball handling of a point guard. Gage from Greenup is good and so is Robinson from Boyd in the 16th. A lot of talent in the 11th as well. Cooper Robb at Scott Co is starting JV and getting a lot of minutes in varsity since Jenkins was ruled ineligible. Dunbar has some god freshman as well as Tate Creek. Scott Co also has a Josh Davis that played in the 9th in middle school. The kid from Hoptown is legit. Scott high and the Nelson kid is good as well. This class is full of talent and potential

I realize that they are quality players... you cannot convince me that being 1-2 years older than their classmates does not present an advantage. Would people consider them an impact player if they were a Sophomore, or Junior, this season?

How about that Kunkel kid from Cooper, leading Cooper with 19 last night against Harrison County. The best freshman at Cooper for sure.
