Agreed,,but Mom and Dad gets to read their kids' name in the headlines,,LOL

Gage Hughes from Greenup County is a dynamic player who started for GCHS last year as an 8th grader. He actually broke OJ Mayo's record for most points scored in a 16th regional tournament game by an 8th grader last season.

That is the 63rd District. Another good one in our district is Isaac Kelly of Lewis County. Definitely not on the same level as Hughes, but the youngster did have 12 points for the Lions off the bench in their loss to East Carter. I know Russell has some talent in the younger grades as well, but can't remember their names.

Somewhere down the road the big boy from CCH will be tough to handle. 9 blocks Saturday. Still not in game shape due to foot injury. Still learning how to play high school hard. When he does....

Are you referring to Big Jake?

Another NewCath Pangallo? That's hilariously awesome.

It was said to be Coach Dawn's grandson.. That family must breed point guards. Guessing he will step in for his cousin Z. Pangallo after he graduates.

Yes

I agree. Saw where future 150 has him ranked 1 in the 2018 class I believe. Another service, I think in the state of ky had him at 4. So, I'm very surprised no one has mentioned him. May be due to the fact that he's not putting up big numbers like the others but heard he controls the middle of the paint on defense by blocking several shots a game. Not to mention he's just coming off an injury.

Didnt get names but wad told there will be 5 freshmen playing for Travelers 16u this yea...I know one is Bayley Rice of North Laurel. Surprised nobody has mentioned him yet. He has some work to do but very skilled around the rim.

Yes, he is playing with the 16u Travelers.

Clark County has many talented freshmen this year. 2 of them made the varsity squad but are currently on IR.

Ryan Cooper should be back soon. JJ Johnson will not be back til later in January.

Looking forward to watching basketball over the next few years in Winchester.

I would add somewhere down the line the young Ruthsatz is going to be a major factor in the 9th.

Sorry but Fitzgerald and Butt are not two year hold backs. Just saying

However, one turned 16 in August and the other turned 16 in October.

Legal, but they are older than 98% of other freshmen.
