I have no idea what goes on behind closed doors of those NKY 6A programs. And I have no results other than whatever they are doin...ain't workin!

 

Has there been anyone in place long enough to change the culture??? How long should it take in your opinion...because SK has had the same coach for 15 years. Again, not saying it's the coach's fault. Part of the culture is the community support as well and saying "we just will never beat them" is part of the culture that needs to change. I would NEVER let that come out of my mouth...ever. I don't care if I were playing a team of greek gods! But you hear it all the time in NKY.

You may reply with exasperation, but results are results. X has at least the resources of Trinity, a slightly larger number of students and lesser results. That means a less effective implementation. It has been the same story for much of the last 47 seasons. It has been more pronounced over the past fifteen seasons, but it goes back a long way.

Do you really get much satisfaction winning a tournament that includes mostly public schools? Wouldn't your players, coaches and alumni be more excited to win a tournament that included Indy Cathedral, Moeller, Elder, St. Ed etc?

How about we focus on the past 20 years? And yes, getting crushed in a scrimmage is getting crushed. The score isn't the relevant part and I realize that is the cop out, but name the last time this scrimmage was even competitive.

 

Didn't they lose to C-Bus and Elder?

 

Also, would you say that Dixie changed the culture this year? I mean, you talk about changing the culture of softball and pound your chest, but isn't Dixie with a running clock loss in the state finals similar to getting 10 run ruled twice in the state softball tournament?

The only way for 6A schools in NKY to compete with Trinity would be for the top players at Beechwood and CCH to go to Dixie(also pull some athletes from Holmes). For Newport Catholic , HHS top players to go to Campbell County. For Ryle and Cooper which are 5 miles apart to designate 1 as the football school and let all the top players go to one school. Then you would have teams that could compete Trinity on given years. NKY has too many smaller schools that have good programs which hurt the bigger schools. Kids in NKY are very dedicated and work hard just like the kids in Louisville but winning like Trinity comes down not only to dedication but an abundance of talent.

Huh?? What happened to the super districts 30 years of dominance that you are pronouncing? We don't play 6A. But heck, we've probably played them more than any other NKY 6A team. Has Dixie or SK even played the super district 15 times in their history? And again, we are 2 classes below!!! That means we don't run into them by chance in the playoffs...we actually scheduled them!

Dixie and SK could combine rosters and still not come within 3 scores of Trinity. Application of the "HHS Way" at Campbell is a complete failure and refutes all of RCC9's arguments, which is why he won't go there.
