Congratulations Pirates!

But still super proud of those Central YellowJackets!

#23 is a man. Only a Sophomore??? Holy smokes.

Congratulations to the Belfry Pirates! I really feel they were the best 3A team all year. They had injuries early, but got their horses healthy at the right time. Couple that with a tough schedule and you get the State Champion!

Great Victory! Great Program! Where do I get me one of those Belfry shirts?

Belfry must like to keep the game close. They tried to not run up the score today.

2011 Central 14 Belfry 14

2012 Central 12 Belfry 6 in OT

2013 Belfry 3 Wayne County 0

2014 Belfry 14 Central 7

Yup... I have been singing his praises all year. Kid is a stud and works his tail off every play.

Cousin of former Belfry and UK standout David Jones. If Horton continues to grow and put in the work he should have big name schools beating a path to Pike County.

I jus want to say how much I appreciate the Central program and Ty Scroggins. Central has forced Belfry to elevate their program to get to their level and that is a First Class crew. Always respectful and play with absolute heart. Scroggins is the most underrated Head Coach in the State and the good he does for that community is almost unspeakable! Absolutely nothing but pure respect!

Oh yeah!

Belfry returns 7 Starters each way

Central returns 8 Starters each way

Then add in Boyle and LexCath along with the other usual suspects.

Wow! Going to be exciting next year.

Congrats to Belfry on their state championship and to Central on another outstanding season.

Belfry had some big boys! Hatfield is 5'10 220 pounds, Horton #23 is 6'1 270 and #44 the te is 6'5 270. Their O-line was huge also.
