He sure doesn't get the David Duke treatment from people of his own race , the media , or college universities or society in general .

If David Duke spoke right now about stringing up blacks what would your reaction be?

When Louis Farrakhan speaks a majority of blacks don't even pay attention to him. I think that is pretty obvious. When a majority of blacks start taking him seriously then there is a problem. Right now he's no different from the Grand Wizard spewing his hate at a Klan rally that no one is paying any attention to. None of them deserve the media coverage or our attention. The more attention he gets the more Farrakhan wins and I think it is safe to say we don't want or need him winning.

A dangerous man!!!!!

Word.

I would think the hate speech would be like trying to incite violence. The current black leaders are IMO not good at being black LEADERS. When I think of leaders I think of Colin Powell' date=' MLK. Not this group. Eric Holder Jesse Jackson Al Sharpton Louis Farrakhan Barack Hussein Obama[/quote']

No black person in America looks at Colin Powell as a black leader.

I meant to say this earlier. This is very true.

The minister is like looting in many white people's eyes.

They generalize that he represents the majority of blacks.

Colin's whiter than me.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to buy a small 5 acre island in the pacific, and take this moron and put him on it with Rush? We could plant cameras all around the island. That would be great reality TV.

Colin's whiter than me.

No one's whiter than you.

While I agree in theory, the issue in this instance is that he is speaking at a public university invited by the Student Government Association. This is not a local Klan rally. These type of events normally draw solid crowds.

Understood. Morgan State is an HBCU, Historical Black College/University. We all know colleges/universities of all sizes have controversial speakers all of the time. There are around 8K students enrolled at Morgan State and there will be some people who eat his words up and love by his words. It's foolish to believe otherwise and words like that can be impressionable on a young college student. It's also foolish to believe that his words didn't have a negative affect on a lot of those young college students as well. Some folks would show up just to see what he has to say and not because they embrace his hate. Farrakhan is not an overly powerful and influential person in the grand scheme of things. I don't care if the Student Government Association at UK brings him in we shouldn't be adding to his air time by discussing him or his hate filled rhetoric.

Why is that, I was hoping he would run for President.

Well, tell me a "black issue" that Mr Powell has taken up?
