Ballard 97 Scott County 72

Ballard looked great tonight. This does make me wonder if Hoptown is better than I thought since they lost at Ballard by 1.

It also makes me wonder if Ballard returns the favor on Trinity in the Regional Tourny and send them home early. Pitiful me talking playoffs already.

Either that... or Holmes' win over SC wasn't so impressive? :)

A little bit of both probably.

Ballard looked like a top 5 teaming the state tonight and Scott Co looked to be far from a top 10 team.

Perry for Ballard was fantastic and looked like he belongs in the group of elite players in the state, at least based on this game. Wilson will frustrate just about every team they play with his quickness and energy. Eaves is a very solid addition to this team. I believe their football player Hammonds didn't play, and I didn't see Robinson on the stat sheet.

Scott Co was basically a two man show with Jenkins and Jones. There wasn't much else for the Cardinals to be excited about in this one, but I agree that Hicks will have them competing for the 11th region title by the end of the year.

Robinson will not be on the team this year.there's already something in the car a dream about him not being on the

0-1 Scott County travels to Falmouth on Friday night to take on Pendleton County. Between the JV and Varsity games, two players from the 2005 10th Region Championship team will be honored with a jersey retirement ceremony. Joey Verax and current Wildcat Head Coach Keaton Belcher join a pretty exclusive group to gain this honor.

Ballard can be really good this year. They have a lot of quality players that know how to play. Robinson is no longer with the team as noted in the following:

What year is Perry?

What year is Perry?

Senior.

Is he saying "Hey, over here. I'm a Mr Basketball candidate, too?"

Is he saying "Hey, over here. I'm a Mr Basketball candidate, too?"

First thought that popped into my head when I saw he had 32 points.

Is he saying "Hey, over here. I'm a Mr Basketball candidate, too?"

Sure seems that way.

The team really bought into the extra pass last night. Shots fell because most of them were open looks. They knocked down 12 3's and none of them were forced. They also had a ton of old fashion 3's. They seem to really look for each other as opposed to last years two man show.

Ballard was very impressive from what has been said. Is Jenkins eligible for the rest of the year or is that situation not over?

Was very impressed with Ballard. Thought they played very fundamental and hit the open man who hit the jumper or layup. Scott County played hard and competed but was not on the same level as Ballard tonight. Scott County will be there at the end of the season. Whole lot of new faces and it will take time but coach Hicks will have them playing for the region again this year. I was impressed with the JV they have a lot of good youth that will develop as well as the season goes along.
