Just admit you said it. If you would have seen this team from Florida, you would have had a different opinion of them. Truthfully, I think your a highlands hater. That's my opinion of you and I'm entitled to it. In my opinion, your football knowledge is next to none. You run your mouth talking about teams that you have never seen or base your comments on what others have said or seen. I need to stop now, if I don't, I might be called to the office. Trust me Jailbird it really doesn't matter what you bring up in the past. I have been down that road many times, and it really doesn't matter if you bring up exact words of what was said in the past, it will be ignored. However if things you have said were wrong, they will be brought back up. However it really is not worth it, trust me on that lol. I haven't seen Highlands play at all this year, or this Florida team being mentioned. However it is nice knowing that a Ky team played right with apparently one of the best schools in a top football state.

Highlands does not need anyone to make them look better now do they? They can take care of that on their own. By the way Elder lost to Wayne who is in the Division 1 finals in Ohio in case you wanted to know.

Not true.

 

The reason for the thread is two fold.

 

- last year the win by HHS was discounted as beating a smaller, not very good University Christian team. There were those stating the same this year about CC.

 

- more importantly, it originated after the posting of the email from CC Coach Merritt. It showed the class and mutual respect that the CC coaches and players had for the Birds. The show of respect was thrown right back at CC by the HHS faithful and quite a few members of this message board. It was then decided to track the rest of the season and wish CC the best.

 

Mission accomplished on both targets.

Look, I'm not trying to pee anybody off keeping track of CC. Some of you keep track of the GCL in Ohio and post it on here. Nobody has a problem talking about Elder on here. It's not about a team from Florida, it's not about them being great or even good for that matter, it's about two teams that played with class on a perfect day. The coach wrote an Email saying that a team from KY has more class than a lot of teams from Miami.

This CC team has gone deep into the playoffs, with Highlands hanging with them in that game, it makes KY football (not HHS) look that much better.

It's great that people from all over the country have positive comments, not about HHS, but KY. This thread is talking about positive things in KY high school football. If you don't like this thread, you could go to the thread talking about "cheap shots." I forgot that thread got locked out.

 

JB...well said. A few weeks back I saw the Colerain-StX playoff game. StX QB goes down in 4th

Qtr with concussion (ending season). Both Coaches were on the field talking with each other, and as the game ended, were hugging each other. Respect for each other, their teams, and the schools.

I know where you are coming from in respect to Highlands and C. Columbus. We actually need more of this in HS football.
