Beau Hoge's Incredible Run!

Featured Replies

I call baloney on this post. Please show us one clip like that one. Moore is an excellent running QB but I doubt he has even one clip half as good as that one.

Deserving of its own thread......So start one! This is Beau Hoge's Thunder!

Nice highlight clip. Very good straight line speed but not nearly as elusive as Beau.

Sucker.....You looked! I'm not viewing it until it's in its own thread by itself. Need to make sure we satisfy everyone's ribbon requests.

I agree with you and I apologize. Hoge is an outstanding athlete and deserves every bit of the attention. I'll start a new thread for everyone's entertainment.

For the love of God, everyone toot their own horn. Get over yourselves because your little Billy or your friends little Billy doesn't have their own thread. Start a

Thread for your player and let everyone throw accolades towards him so you can feel better. Wow!

Great, not good, but great run by Beau Hoge! Simple as that!

Threads are being started for other players.

It was a good, not great, but good run by Beau. If Cov Cath players could tackle, there isn't a thread for this run because he would've been stopped well before the endzone. I'll give it to him that it was good vision.

Didn't they tackle a lot of Dixie players earlier in the year?

You could look at it another way, maybe Beau's running made them miss. There were a couple of times that he was going backwards while going forwards. I am not sure how you do that and I think it defies the law of physics.

I saw it live and on video and there is no comparison. If you did not see it live, you can not appreciate what a GREAT run it was. You are completely wrong by saying it was not a great run. His ability to stop, go backwards and then forward made the missed tackles. Block in the back accounts for one of the 10 players he made miss. It is so hard for non HHS fans to admit them doing something good. He did the same thing in this game when CCH had him for a 12 yard sac and he somehow got away from 4 defenders and completed a pass for a first down, not bad tackling, but incredible moves by the QB to escape tackles. HHS fans have seen a lot of good teams/players over the last decade, and for everyone to be saying this is the best play they have seen says something! This kid is special and it is a crime to him and fans that he only gets to show case his skills at QB for one year.

You are totally wrong. I've touted Hoge all year and even Pre season.

Its not a crime...the kid has signed with BYU and at Highlands you wait your turn and as long as he wins a State Championship then he has accomplished everything he wanted...:thumb:

I was unaware that Hoge made this run in a CCH-Dixie game. Thanks for pointing that out as I missed the Dixie players in the video and how they relate to this play. I'll be more aware next time. :thumb:

A few tackles were missed because of Hoge's moves, not denying that, but there were also just missed tackles by CCH.

Yeah I guess seeing it live and seeing it on video are two entirely different things. While being there and seeing it live most likely allowed you to listen to the fans cheer, I probably saw the same thing you did though.

And it's not hard for me as a non HHS fan to admit them doing something good. I'm actually pretty sure I have been complimentary of Highlands in the past. But wear your blue glasses and generalize about everyone else if you must!

You know what I mean! But I can remind you that CCH beat your beloved Colonels earlier in the year. So like I said the Blue Colonels tackled enough Red Colonels to win that day..

You just quoted a Taylor Swift song. Time to reassess some things buddy.

Thanks for the request Mex. 1:32 you can thank me later.
