This knocked Miami out of the divisional battle, so another year where we don't get to see the rematch that title game was designed for. I can't say I'm upset about it at this point - FSU had to battle for their lives in this one. Just like every freaking week.

I really wish Duke hadn't lost today and I really hope they win out. I don't want Georgia Tech to make the title game.

Dragon no disrespect but the Noles have been extremely lucky this year. How many points did Miami leave on the board tonight?

4

Two bad fumbles.

And this wasn't the luckiest game. Remember Clemson?

It would be easier to stomach without Winston in there but good grief. It's sickening to watch.

I remember our Heisman QB not playing in that game. Think it would have taken luck if he hadn't been an idiot?

I never said they haven't had luck, but you know what, at this point, it's not a fluke, it's a trend. Maybe fortune is smiling on them until they get to a game where someone can really beat the crap out of them and embarrass them. I just know at this point it's happened this year repeatedly and at some point you just have to accept that it happens.

As for points left on the board, did FSU not turn it over in Miami territory a couple of times too?

Believe me, I wish Coker hadn't transferred to go hold a clipboard at Alabama (SIDE NOTE - That has not stopped being hilarious to me). Maybe Jimbo would have taken a stronger approach with Jameis. It is what it is.

BTW, on the concept of them having played no one, FSU has played some teams that were certainly good at the time they played them. Oklahoma State would be an entirely different team if Walsh hadn't gotten hurt the next game. Basically the Seminoles are the only team to play that team at full strength. Clemson's Watson makes them a totally different team. He played his first significant action against FSU, played great the next two games, then UL knocked him out. And now he's done and likely took the rest of the season for Clemson with him. FSU played a Louisville team that was at full strength for one of the few times this year. And Miami is playing their best ball of the year. I'm not saying these teams are the caliber of some of the other teams, but they are all solid teams. I personally believe both Louisville and Miami should be ranked. (The Notre Dame and NC State results BTW are not impressive and the ND one looks worse and worse by the week)

Turning the ball over is different from missing a chip shot FG and having an extra point blocked. Bush 's pick was a good play. Not to say that the block wasn't, but that's usually the mistake of the kicking team.

FSU is destined to play poorly and then win in the end. They do this with a QB that many teams would have already got rid of. They do this in a sub par conference compared to the other big conferences.

To the eye test, they don't seem like a top 4 team to me. Beating Miami, Louisville, Clemson, etc. is not impressive in comparison to what other teams endure. It's sickening. With their luck Auburn will beat Bama, Ole Miss will beat Miss State, Oregon will lose to someone, and Baylor will jump TCU.

At full strength OK State MIGHT be the 5th best team in the Big 12.

Clemson is a year or two away from being back.

Louisville has a nice defense and a pedestrian offense.

Miami is mediocre and haven't beat a legitimate opponent since I was in High School. Wish I could say that was different but when you're conference rivals have become Duke and Georgia Tech, you're a joke. Maybe that's changing but who knows? This is the same team that got destroyed by Nebraska, who hasn't been relevant since Eric Crouch was running for TDs.
