I am going to team up with Lawnboy13 to provide stats and play-by-play for this game (if I can convince him to come up into the warm booth with me and help me spot). He will probably do the BGP thread updates. I will provide box score and game summary updates at the link below and work with the TV crew from NKY Sports. Full stats, box score, and play-by-play will be provided after the game has been completed (available in the post game thread). If you can't make it to the game and want to see the broadcast AND get LIVE STATS and PLAY-BY-PLAY, you can purchase a one game subscription from the NFHS Network and watch it all online. Part of your subscription ($9.95) is a donation to NCC. I wish I could provide LIVE for FREE, but that is the doings of the software company.

Not a problem, the warm booth idea sounds like a winner. Nothing like VIP treatment. :D

Over/under on tying in the action to old softball references? I'm going to set the line at 6 old softball references.

I have a comment on the field rental fee that was mentioned earlier. I can't get too upset with Newport for charging the fee. If you can make money off something these days go for it. My complaint is with the KHSAA. This doesn't apply to this game, because it's against Newport. But, how is it fair to penalize the visiting team with this fee? If NCC doesn't have their own field, then it should be on them to pay for a field. If they cannot afford a field, then the game should be moved to the opponent's field. The two teams should split the gate period in a playoff game. One of the perks of going to a playoff game is getting a little extra cash. One more question, is it $1800 for regular season games as well or just playoff games?

I saw a Newport guy put on FB "You keep the Bell we will take region"

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but I think that is exactly what is happening.

If there is a loss due to expenses (Beechwood vs Bracken Cty) and limited turnout, does the visiting team share in the financial loss?

I wanted to clear up a mistake in my previous post. I just learned that the NFHS Network will show the live stats and play-by-play for the subscription fee, but NOT the NKY Sports broadcast. This may cause a few of you to reconsider the LIVE option. Remember that NKY Sports is broadcasting for FREE on their website (see post #107). You can go to the game link above for updates on the score and time remaining during the game for FREE, but you won't be able to see individual stats or play-by-play until after the game when I will provide full stats in the post game thread. I apologize for the confusion.

Find someone to make his every 6 minute trips to the concession stand and hes got it made.

side note: Better make sure that person works for UPS, seem to be the only people that can deliver on time and to the right location. :walk:

As I stated in the previous post, this does not apply to this game. I'm talking about Trimble Co. and Lloyd who had to play at NCC but had to pay to rent the field. Makes no sense to me.

Yes, I think they should share in the financial loss. What does this have to do with field rentals? This is a totally different situation. If you have to rent a field you are starting out $1800 in the hole.

Buy out old Kmart and other crappy stores build football field and track. 2 problems solved. Turn practice field into nice softball field another problem solved and lawnboy will be happy. Its not hard. All up to bishop. ....
