Works for Newport! They don't need a FG post, they don't mind going for 2.

Serious question, does Lawnboy have a mower large enough to provide shuttle service from the old Kmart parking lot? That hill is a bear to walk.

Anyone close to either program knows that's ridiculous.

You know much better than most. Sounded weird.

NewCath in a rout!! I have seen both schools play and I have to say that I thought Newport had improved dramatically but after that debacle against a poor to mediocre Walton team I just don't have faith in them anymore. NewCath 49-14.

NewCath needs to cut out the mental mistakes completely or this may turn into a Newport rout. NewCath has been in the position before and the tough out of district schedule makes them more prepared for games like this. Tough Defense and limited mental mistakes will equal a win for the breds.

This should be a great game. Both teams have had very good years. Ncc has the blueprint for success: strong non-district schedule, strong line play, team speed, and excellent coaching. Their in game adjustments are superb. Newport is big and fast. The wildcats have been on fire since their loss to ncc on a cold rainy night weeks ago, but they must cut down on the turnovers. If this game is on a grass field I would give a slight edge to ncc, but if the game is played at newport stadium, as it should, newport will probably win. Once again, this game could come down to who has the ball last... However, my insticts tell me if ncc cannot contain price and he runs wild then the wildcats win. I have no dog in the fight, I just want to watch a good game. May each team demonstrate good sportsmanship and stay classy whether in victory or defeat.

Good luck with that.

I would give Newport the edge on grass due to their size advantage. NewCath is quicker on the line than the Cats. NewCath also has 3-4 smaller, slashing type of playmakers. Newport with that line and 220 lb running back would have a big advantage in the mud.

Rumor has it NCC is trying to move the game away from Newport.

A rumor like that passes over Newport, Ft. Thomas, and ends up in Ft. Wright? Nah :stop:

Just because I live there doesn't mean I don't communicate with anybody from said schools.

Fact of the matter is this game was NEVER considered to be moved.

Oh we forgot you got your info from a very reliable resource correct?

I'd say my source is a lot more credible than most peoples in this thread.

The deeper the playoffs go, the thinner the skin becomes. Many of the comments in a couple of these threads reminds me why I like to read and observe more than post. I think I will just get back to reading. Good luck to NCC and Newport Friday night!

This game will be broadcast live on NKYSPORTS.com as the Omega Processing Game of the Week. We will also be doing the SK/DIXIE game as well.
