Giving up 31 points is "enough defense"?

 

We gave up 31 at Male last night, you guys faired 1 point better giving up 30 to them this year while only scoring 13 on Male yourself, plus I get the sense you believe your offense is better than Male's?? Please, the Rocks won't be so "giving" this time around, guaranteed. The offense is clicking, it's a total team game, Rocks will win this one in a great game.

If there's one thing X should have learned over the years it's that no matter how badly they may have beaten Trinity in the regular season the playoffs are a whole other ball of wax.

 

Trinity's D was enough to get a W at Male (and to really tick of a certain large and loud Male coach).

 

Win with class -- loose with class. What top programs should aspire to.

I feel confident in this one.....we had a lot of things go wrong the first time....I anticipate those being fixed......if that happens I feel we will win...

The one time it has occurred in the last 14 years. In 2009 the talent level was way higher on the X side. This year it is much more of a toss up.

 

T has won when they've been on the opposite end of the talent spectrum and so has X. Should be a great game.

Males defense is better than T's. No I don't believe anyone in our district had a better offense than Male, just like I believe the two best defenses belong to manual and X. Also, not about our offense being better than males, I think there is more opportunity to put up points vs you all because of the porous defense.

2005 is a perfect example. There is no sensible reason Trinity should have won that playoff game. Brent Curley doesn't get injured and things may turn out differently. By that same token though Quick's injury in 2012 seemed bad, but T still managed to eek out a win.

I amend my earlier prediction. St. X will win 114-3. With the T field goal being scored on 8th graders who have already decided to go to X next year.

Many people do not remember but Trinity was playing very well during the playoffs in 2005. After the bad loss to X, the seniors showed leadership and the team as a whole resolved to do better. Granted, X was very talented but T wasn't a stiff by any means. They had a lot of heart.
