Facebook vacation

Featured Replies

I am on it daily as I find it rather entertaining and a good way to stay in touch with my friends, family members. Maybe it is just my personality but I dont mind interacting with people throughout my day. As long as it doesnt interfere with my work or my marriage I am all for it. BGP is more of an issue than FB....atleast to my wife. :lol2:

The things I dont like.:

Game invites

Political rants

Bored Housewives posting photos of their kids all day long

People that check in 5 times a day

Pictures of food that is not impressive

Airing your Dirty Laundry

Things I like:

Seeing family pictures

Hearing about positive events in friends/family life

Catching up on news stories

Creeping on people LOL

Friends accessible most of the time

I have an active account but do not get on it regularly, maybe every couple weeks when I remember it. Very rare that I post on it.

Game invites are the absolute worst. I have definitely deleted several people for that.

Can you make it to where you don't want game invites from anybody? I know you can block specific people.

I haven't had a game invite in so long, I forgot all about them! Every time I used to get one, I would click on a link for the app center which is where you can block invites from coming to you for that game.

Political rants is one of the things I hated about Facebook. I also hated the drama that people would post daily. I would delete people, but that just leads to hard feelings and awkward situations, and just opens the door for more drama IMO.

I'm telling you, the unfollow feature is the best thing Facebook has ever done. They'll never know. :lol2:

Just go to their profile and click unfollow. Boom. They are there but they aren't there.

I love FB! I get to see my 3 beautiful great nieces that I don't get to see often enough. I love to see what my friends are up to! I love being in touch with family that is far away. I absolutely loved seeing PP92's pictures and video today! #cutestbatmanever

I stay away from political rants, the quizzes like which dwarf are you, and please stop posting pictures of your food and/or any injury you may have sustained - especially if it's bloody!

Yep. I've unfollowed the vast majority of people.

Even with that, it gets me in trouble sometimes. "Did you see what I posted on Facebook the other day?" someone will ask. I've blocked them so I have no clue. Do I lie & say yes, or tell the truth & make them mad for blocking them?

Just say you must've missed it. News feeds get pretty clogged up, easy to overlook. :lol2:

Exactly.

Make sure you turn your chat off though, or people can see when you've read their messages. :D

I burn Facebook up and love it. Of course, I'm also single and work on a computer/phone all day and night.

None of the above. You simply say, "no, I haven't been on Facebook in a while." It's not a lie. We all go a while without being on Facebook. :D

I got you, lil bro.

I've tried that one before and it can sometimes work. But sometimes people know I have been active.

The best I've been able to come up with, without being a huge liar, is to say that I simply don't pay close attention to what is posted on Facebook.

Flip it on them then and ask why they are Facebook stalking you. :lol2: :lol2:

Yeah, that's probably your best route.

Facebook is what you make it. They have added a new feature where you can unfollow family or friends that you can't delete so I no longer see people that get on my nerves that I can't delete. Facebook has been a much more pleasurable experience once I began doing that.

I used to be on there alot. With the exception of today and me posting pictures of my grandson I normally spend less than 10 minutes a day on there.

Cute pics!
