November 3, 201411 yr For me, it's "Un Chien Andalou", which is an old silent, surrealist movie from the 1920s. Saw something about it in a documentary on the history of film and decided to watch. Strangest thing I've ever seen. It's the first film of a subsequently hugely famous Spaniard, Luis Bunuel, but a significant chunk of the film's concept design was done by Salvador Dali, so it's all over the place. No real plot and what plot there isn't chronological. Lots of really disturbing imagery.
November 3, 201411 yr "A Clockwork Orange" was a strange movie. I haven't seen it in years but I remember asking myself why would anyone pay money to watch this movie. And if I'm not mistaken it was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Evidently the critics loved it. Got this one saved on the DVR from when I had the movie channels for free. Plan on getting around to watching it soon.

Stanley Kubrick could have filmed a old man taking out the trash and it would have been brilliant. It's not Kubrick's best directing, but it's still fantastic. It's a heck of a story taking on some pretty big concepts. I think it's great but the sex and violence are definitely at insane levels... but that's sort of the point. Big fan of the film.

November 3, 201411 yr Wow...have you ever opened up a can of worms with this one. Disclaimer: Because I've seen some of the following movies does not ensure that they're my cuf of tea. Some I can tolerate to a degree, and some I've no interest in ever seeing again. Director Harmony Korine is known for his twisted, disturbing, and bizarre movies. They're hard to watch and definitely more than once, if that much. A few of his most notable films are "Kids", "Gummo", and "Julien Donkey-Boy". According to Wiki his film Trash Humpers won main prize at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009. I've not seen it. Before being aware of who he was, by chance I've seen "Kids", and "Julien Donkey-Boy" which were both disturbing to say the least. I'd say "JD-Boy" rates up there big time with being one of the most bizarre movies I've ever seen. Screen International has this to say about Harmony Korine: "Every generation conjures up its own envelope-pushing film-maker, Godard, Herzog, Fellini, Jarman, or Cassavetes - whose very restless originality manages to both infuriate and intoxicate those willing to sit through their films. November 3, 201411 yr "Groove Tube" Oh my, forgot all about that one. Couple of things carried over to SNL from that movie. New from Uranus: Brown 25 - "It has the strength of steel, the flexibility of rubber, and the nutritional value of beef stew."
November 4, 201411 yr Bizarre as in I just don't get why I'm watching this, good or bad: Natural Born Killers (strangest movie I've ever seen). A Clockwork Orange (watched it year's after its release because it was highly acclaimed. I don't get it.) Taxi Driver (bizarre, rough film to watch.) Serial Mom (rented it and actually stopped watching it. Bad and bizarre. I'm sure there was a hidden theme I didn't get.)
November 4, 201411 yr About 10-15 years ago my liberal young cousin from California came for a visit, and we watched a movie she had rented. It is by far the most bizarre movie I've ever seen. It was called "Hedwig And The Angry Inch"
