Anthony Best played football, basketball and baseball as a Freshman. My understanding is that his is not going to play baseball.

Was pleased to see senior Tony Bessler warming up with the Colonels at the Kelsey Sorrell scrimmage. Happy for him. Hope he has a nice senior season.

I checked out the Blue/White night. Nice crowd.

 

I think the offense is still a work in progress as far as an identity. Bo has to be more aggressive offensively in the half-court. Can't settle for 3s. He can be really good at using a dribble to get within 10 to 12 and then using his athletic ability to get a good shot. I didn't see him take it to the rim once tonight. I'd like to see him do that a bit more. Don't settle.

 

Can they get scoring from either of the bigs (Hepp or Ziggy)?

 

Cooper T will have a nice year.

 

Younger kids: Aiden Ruthsatz can play. Period. Scrimmaged against the varsity and looked like he fit right in at that level. Stroked the outside shot well in the JV scrimmage. Tight handle. Great pull-up J. I really like the Bishop kid. Tough kid. Undersized but effective. Right now Maher is more athlete than skilled baller but that athleticism is impressive. Strong rebounder.

 

CJ Fredrick has a mature offensive game for a frosh. Gangly right now but he'll fool you and make you look bad. Strong inside outside games. Shoots the 3 well. Penetrates and gets shots around the rim. Long. He'll be fun to watch mature. Frosh team looks pretty good. Not sure who was wearing #61 tonight but that big boy will have a nice year.

If cooper T played like last night that answers a big question mark coming into this year.

If Cooper T. has a great year along with Bo playing hard as usual, I look for them to do well.

 

The Ruthsatz boy can play! Very confident with the ball and finds the open players.

 

On the Frosh, they looked to be loaded! A few of them stood out to me. I'm sure they will just get better as I'm not sure how many of them have ever really played together and will gel nicely.

 

Also, the amount of people there was probably more than I've seen for the Blue/White Night. Place was filled. Going to be fun to watch and hear about CCH basketball.

Romes became a key player late last year. I expect him to have a strong season. Can guard a big. Can guard a PG.
