CovCath is fielding two freshmen teams. Each will play a 15 game schedule.

It was considered but it sounds like they will only have one team.

I just noticed on the schedule that CCH opens up with Holy Cross in a district game.

That will test the scoreboard early in the year.

Where did you get this info from? First I've heard of it....

From a VERY RELIABLE source.

17 frosh on the frosh team.

I heard the same thing today from my brother. Three Frosh are playing JV?

2 as far as I can tell.

The confusion seems to be because of the # of frosh in the program.

By my count there are 19 with 2 of them playing JV. That leaves 17 playing frosh and I can't remember CCH ever having 17 on the frosh team.

There was a brief consideration during the summer about having 2 teams. 2 problems: Finding another coach and the fact that each team would be limited to 15 games. So they kept more kids.

All 17 will dress for every frosh game.

Against some teams on the schedule the back end of the 17 will get the majority of the minutes. Against the better teams the top players will get the minutes.

It's still one team and all 17 dress .

I was told... Ruthsatz, Walters and AJ

Not sure if Walters is up yet.

Walter is practicing with JV / Varsity to get him more work in practice, at least occasionally, but he'll play freshmen hoops.

I know coach Frederick is very high on Walter's potential. With the body he has I'm not sure he improves playing against the (lack of) size at the Frosh level.

I don't know anyone well enough to know who is high on whom, but I know that the youngster will get better being the Ziegelmeyer kid's match-up than a 6'2" 14 year old.

Thanks Ennam.

Reps and conditioning and we'll probably see him moved up.

How big is he now?
