Clyde Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Texas courts blocked the legislation. http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2014/10/judge-blocks-texas-voter-id-law-196865.html Supreme Court blocked WI from implementing their version pending further review.
InItToWinIt Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 It's shocking they don't require ID's to vote. First, its not racist at all. If illegal aliens can get ID's in New York and LA (HuffPost Live & New York City creates ID card so 500K illegal immigrants can get services - Washington Times) then surely anybody could. Second, the rising amount of voter fraud is a concern. No link but I seem to remember a NC man saying he voted 4 or 5 times in 2012.
capt278 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 You need an ID for a variety of different things in America today. I don't understand the Lefts radical aversion to this. What are they afraid of?
Jumper_Dad Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 If voter ID is illegal, why do I have to show my ID every time I vote? Not that I mind to do it. It seems that some areas of the country people have to show an ID to vote (as they should) and some it seems to be the biggest hardship in the world.

They can show you an electric bill with an address on it, or a credit card...by law. No picture ID is necessary.
BigVMan23 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Lefties talk out of both sides of their mouth on this issue. They talk about the sanctity of voting and how it is such an important part of being an American and it's such a great. highly regarded process (all of which I agree with)...but then they don't want to have a law in place to show a picture ID to protect this very thing they claim to hold in such high regard. How can that be? You can't have it both ways. It's either important enough to highly protect the process, or it isn't. Which is it?:idunno:

75center Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I checked out the Texas voter website and it didn't seem too overwhelming to me. It does seem to me that with the need for id's in so many aspects of our lives that it would not be all that difficult to satisfy the law. However, I understand that other people may see difficulties given their particular circumstances. It is important if they are going to pass these laws, then they must make getting the id cheap and easy for everyone.

I don't see having to show an ID when we vote as a hardship.
PurplePride92 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 If Hispanics begin to lean to the Right in their voting preferences, the Dems will be pushing Voter ID quicker than a rabbit can jump a ditch. I thought Hispanics were republicans?
PurplePride92 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 In 2014 IDs and fraud are old school. Don't you guys watch Scandal? Voter fraud will be done electronically. Voter fraud done with IDs means they have corrupt tellers or stupid inept tellers at the voting booths.
stickymitts Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I hope those without ID's never have sinus issue's.
