Why in the world is Montgomery County so high? No players in probably the top 15, a new Coach. I got them all the way down at 8 and move everyone up one. Are there any transfers that I'm not aware of that puts them in the top 4?

What determins the "best"? I see many great scorers on this list. If that is how we rank then, I stick with my previous post on what changes I feel should be made, but if we figure in their defensive awareness then King from GRC has to move up a few spots IMO. Also Snapp from Augusta would move up a spot or two. So I guess what makes a player the "best"? Is this more offensively geared or does defense factor in at all?

Just curious to see how everyone else feels about how the "best" is named. I confess I lean more to offense and maybe that blurs my judgement as to who really is the best.

I take into account offense, defense, and the intangibles that don't show up on a box score.

I NEVER just look at scoring. I love the player that really contributes to the team in ways that don't show up in the stats.

Dawson Cooper stood out in the regional opener against Augusta. He has beefed up and grown an inch over the last 6-7 months. He will be playing with a chip on his shoulder this year. Watch out.

Everyone is forgetting about Scott's Jake Ohmer. All he did was lead them in scoring for the season and run Point Guard for Coach Carr as a Freshman. He is now a year older, stronger and taller. He had a great AAU Circuit as well.

I agree, I saw him play twice and accidently left him off my list. That is one reason I have Scott ranked higher in my team rankings! thanks Asher2012

Switch Crawford and Henry. Think hard about getting Sticklen from St. Patrick on the top 10 list.

Switch Montgomery and Clark. Switch Bracken and Augusta. Will St. Patrick be good enough to crack the top 10?

Really ??? I have seen this young man play for several years. No disrespect at all but there is absolutely no way on the AA that he is a top 10….

Just curious how you come to this conclusion ?

Sticklen averaged a double double a year ago and did everything for St.Patrick. He is much improved this year no doubt he will be in the top ten of this region by seasons end.

I'm hearing junior guard Roberto London may play for Scott High this year. I believe he sat out last year to focus just on football. If he does suit up for Coach Carr what type of impact will he have for Scott this year?

Actually I have heard he recently decided to not play. He did consider it for the longest time.

Everything I have read about this kid has been very complimentary of his game. With that being said, what are some of his strengths to watch for this season? Just curious as I know our boys open up with them this year and I don't know much about them at all. Thanks

Ohmer from Scott will turn some heads very quickly this season. Kid has major range and gets to the basket by putting defenders on his hip. I look for him to have a break out season.

agree ... he was pretty darn good for Scott last year. Maybe deferred too much, which is understandable, since he was just a freshman. No holding him back this year.
