Agreed. Beechwood was clearly the better team. From the opening kickoff, Beechwood players were blowing guys up all over the field.

This weekend confirms what I have been saying and took heat for:

 

1A is way up this year. One of the best years I can remember for 1A Football. Mayfield, Beechwood, and Pikeville are super strong.

 

4A is the most down it has been since the 6 Class System started.

 

I said it last week and will re-say it. If Beechwood defeats CovCath they deserve to be #2.

2. Beechwood

3. Pikeville

 

And I firmly believe those three could compete this year in Class A-AAAAA with every team except for maybe Highlands and Bowling Green.

No doubt, but I would say a good combination of Beechwood playing well and Cov Cath making mistakes.

So much for the Saturday home field advantage. :-)

 

And another reason you cannot compare scores to determine outcomes (common opponent Dixie).

Hard to figure this one out. Serious question to CCH fans. Was the play calling as vanilla and strange as last week? Did they throw the deep ball at all to one of these "fastest in the state receivers"?

I completely agree and can be said for a lot of teams; many people do it.

Awesome performance by the Tigers from beginning to end. Controlled the line of scrimmage. Brett Slusher .... amazing game. Joe Studer ... what a stud. Jonathon Stokes, Braydon Combs, Fieger ... I could go on and on. Great game plan well executed by the players. The Tigers are getting in position for a strong playoff run.

I guess but at that point it was a 2 score game.

Great win for the Tigers, IMO the first drive by Beechwood set the tone for the game. Well executed game plan, seemed as the boys in red and white played with a ton of emotion and enthusiasm.

Great win for the Tigers, they set the tone early with that first drive, they were moving kids off the line of scrimmage and the running backs were hitting the hole hard. Executed the game plan to a tee, Hergott gets a lot of heat from the Tiger faithful, he called a great game.....halfback pass before halftime, wow!
