addout Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Congratulations to Elliott County, I believe they made history tonight by winning their semifinal game. Good luck and I hope you make more history by winning the region!

Wireman Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Wow. Congrats to Elliott Co. Anyone have any more info.....? Just got home from the game. Ferguson played another great game - 22 points. The Faulkners and Weddington played good games and the kid off the bench (Maynard I think) hit two clutch free throws to seal it. Good, hard fought game for both teams, officiating was decent and the game was close throughout. Elliott just hit a few shots and made a few big-time plays in the closing minutes.
Frances Bavier Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Great win for Elliott. Do they have ONE more left in the tank? Should be a dandy tomorrow. Frances
Ms Liberty Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 One more game Lions your fans are not ready for b-ball to be over Play hard
Wireman Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Notice to all of my customers: I will not be working on any computers on Wednesday if Elliott County wins tomorrow night!!!
MBWC41 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Elliott played a great game once again. Ferguson really impressed me. I have just watched him twice but what he is going to be something special; if he isn't already. Good Luck Lions (Elliott)
shooterx3 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 This was probally the most entertaining game of the tournament. Both teams left it on the floor. Ward style was out for most of the game , and Greenup probally could have used a little more of it, but Elliot was up 38-31 and then Greenup came out of a timeout and took the lead. Game was in doubt to the end Elliot pulled it out. Just a great effort by both teams. The mvp award is Ferguson's to lose at this point, he has made some huge baskets in the first two games for his team. The Faulkners just compete and do the little things that helps your team win. I have noticed the last two games they have been able to "slap" the ball away from the rebounder several times, they have to just be a "millisecond" away from a foul on most of those moves, if the ref's look for that saturday night, it could be big! congrats to Greenup on a good year:thumb:

Combined with Weddington, they wore the Greenup guards down tonight. Greenup was able to get back into the game from 38-31 because of 3-4 ill-advised shots by Elliott following the timeout. I thought Greenup was on the ropes at that point, but they fought back. Nothing to be ashamed of by Greenup.
