350-Pound Woman on Welfare: I’m Obese Because I Don’t Get Enough Government Money

Featured Replies

Review the evidence. Some posters were making fun of her for being fat. But let's move on.

I still find it interesting-ironic-somewhat humorous that some complain that the government enables this woman's lifestyle ... and then they complain that the government shouldn't be in the business of trying to improve kids' school lunches.

Someone doesn't understand what irony means.

I love Willie Nelson.

Sorry, I missed an answer in your response. Can you repeat?

If your holding your breath waiting for an answer I will go ahead and call 911.

Someone doesn't understand what irony means.

Why should the meaning of irony be special...

I see one photo that has been posted.

Don't confuse him.

Someone doesn't understand what irony means.

It's called situational irony. This occurs when, for instance, a man is chuckling at the misfortune of another even when the same misfortune, in complete unawareness, is befalling him.

Hence, when laughing at the woman in post No. 1, "same misfortune" is befalling the fine folk of Ft. Thomas, who have turned up their noses at Mrs. Obama's healthy eating plan and are paying more so their children can have pizza and other unwise choices at lunch instead of healthier lean meat wraps and fresh fruits and veggies.

Next time do a little googling before you and your half-dozen pals play follow the leader.

Lordy it's amusing to watch you twist yourself into a pretzel getting into and out of situations as you try to justify poor policies.

Ironic, isn't it?

She fat and lazy period. I can tell you from personal experience that you can lose weight just walking and eating better. Never spent a dime on a gym and used the sidewalks that my way to high property taxes help pay for.

Let's all laugh and make fun of the overweight lady. Ha ha ha. What's ironic is that a lot of the people criticizing this lady's lifestyle also defend the decision of Ft. Thomas schools to opt out of federal money in order to increase the calorie count at school lunches.

Now that's funny.

CRY ME A RIVER!!!!!!!!!

"Starving"? That's a good one. Refresh my memory. How many other Northern Kentucky school districts opted out?

It's not a matter of wanting to opt out; it's about affording to opt out. How many schools can afford to do so?

NewCath would "bolt" in a heartbeat, if they could afford it. This was a topic at one school board meeting, affordability was the issue.

Have you seen the "junk in her truck", she 's got alot of room to talk, but I digress. It's not Michelle Obama or anyone in the Gov't's responsiblity to tell us what we should or shouldn't eat. It is the responsibility of the parents and if they are not responsible enough to watch what their kids eat then so be it, they can have fat little slobs running around....I DON'T CARE. To each his/her own, if they what to eat "junk food" so be it, it's not my business, or yours, or the Gov'ts.

It's amazing to me that the "hall monitors" from back in the day are now in control. :isurrender:

By "lean meat wraps" do you mean lunch meat on a tortilla? If so, lunch meat is processed and not all that healthy.

Also my kids school does participate and they pizza. Also never seen a lean meat wrap on the menu and there sure as heck isn't any FRESH fruits or veggies.

Fat, Stupid and on welfare is no way to go through life!

Or was it fat, drunk and stupid?

I understand situational irony. The problem is this doesn't fit and even your twisted explanation doesn't fit. We are talking about a woman who lives off the government and wants more money from the government to become skinny and healthy . Ft. Thomas asked for zero government assistance to give their students healthy meals.

Get it one case wants more government assistance the other wants less. Therefore again I state you don't understand what irony means.
