September 15, 201412 yr One more...... Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann Until just minutes ago when I googled it, I never understood what he was saying when he sang "revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night". Great to have you back, TTC. You've been missed!
September 15, 201412 yr Great to have you back, TTC. You've been missed! Thanks TB&G! That means a lot to me...... It is good to be back!
September 15, 201412 yr One more...... Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann Until just minutes ago when I googled it, I never understood what he was saying when he sang "revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night". "Wrapped up like a dousch you know the roamer in the night"
September 15, 201412 yr "Wrapped up like a dousch you know the roamer in the night" ^^That is so very close to what I always heard when listening to that song.:thumb:
September 15, 201412 yr Proud of my self that I corrected my son on a current song by Meghan Trainor, "I'm all about that bass, no treble."
September 15, 201412 yr This is the funniest thing you'll watch in a month of Sundays: [video=youtube;xLd22ha_-VU] See ya tomorrow...goodnight, thanks.
September 15, 201412 yr Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". It always sounded to me that he was saying, "the chaz is not my own". Then I learned he was saying "the child is not my son".
September 15, 201412 yr I always thought that Stevie Nicks sang "Like a one winged Dove" in the song "Edge of Seventeen". My wife got a real kick out of it when she heard me singing it one time and corrected me.
September 15, 201412 yr I've always loved "Come on Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners, but I swear I cannot make out half of the correct lyrics on that thing.
September 15, 201412 yr Author I always thought that Stevie Nicks sang "Like a one winged Dove" in the song "Edge of Seventeen". My wife got a real kick out of it when she heard me singing it one time and corrected me. At least you heard "Dove" correctly... I always thought it was "Just like the one winged girl, sings a song sounds like she's singin'..."
September 15, 201412 yr When Brian Johnson became the lead singer of AC/DC, you could pick any one of their songs and add it to this list. :lol2:
September 15, 201412 yr Author Here again, even with the help of a song title, I thought Steve Miller was saying "Big ol' Chad had a light on" instead of "Big ol' Jet Airliner" in the song "Jet Airliner", and to this day knowing that it's not what I thought, I still hear it that way. September 15, 201412 yr Author When Brian Johnson became the lead singer of AC/DC, you could pick any one of their songs and add it to this list. :lol2: No doubt about misunderstanding Brian Johnson... When I first heard AC/DC with "Highway to Hell" and after seeing the album cover with Angus Young with horns, I thought that he was the lead singer, and even after I realized he wasn't, it took me the longest time not to see in my mind him singing the tunes instead of Bon Scott. The snarl on AY's face made it believable that he'd have that kind of voice.
September 15, 201412 yr Author Speaking of Highway to Hell, in the line "Taking everythin' in my stride" even to this day all I could make out was "Tell your lover derriere my side". It took me looking it up today to finally know what he was sayin'.
September 15, 201412 yr For many years, I thought the B-52s were saying "loveshack betty" instead of baby. My wife heard me singing it one day and gave me that "What the hell is wrong with you" look and then corrected me. You sure she didn't look at you like that because you were singing "Loveshack"?
