more worried this week then they have been in a while.

True?

It would be very odd if they were not.

Toughest test on the regular-season schedule.

Why this game? I would have thought tension would have been pretty high versus St. Xavier but it didn't appear to be. Given this week's opponent deserves the worry, but confidence seemed high in every other game.

McCallie is an unknown. No matter how much we research them the only people who know anything for certain are the coaches who have watched film on McCallie. We know about Owensboro, St. X, LexCath and finding out about them is much easier than researching McCallie. Last season there were two teams that tested one of the best BG teams to ever play and McCallie was one of those teams.

I think I speak for most Purple followers, we are more concerned this week (McCallie) than any of the other games we have played thus far. McCallie is St. X size with more speed than BG.

If we were to pull it out, it really would be a great achievement. Don't get me wrong, when it is Dragon week everyone gets tense. No one wants to lose against their rival. We will cross that bridge soon enough.

It's not everyday you play a team as big and fast as McCallie. It should be a good one. Hopefully!

Ram, Purple Pride is right on in his assessment. For me, it goes further. I don't mean to sound arrogant when I say this, but the teams we have played previously I always felt we were, as a whole, bigger and stronger than, except for St X, who I felt we were faster or more athletic than. When you put those characteristics up against McCallie, and I was in Chattanooga last year and saw their team, I don't get that same feeling. Are they alot bigger, stronger, and faster than BG, other than that 4.3 40 speedster no, but we don't have that advantage I've felt we've comfortably had for some time now. I had this feeling for McCallie and Blackman last year. Can we win? Yes, but the margin for error is much smaller now. It's basically a pick em type game and that gives me more reason for concern than before.

Unfortunately I think this is the week the streak ends.

I think it was the McCallie game that had video on the internet last year? Any chance we can catch it again this year?

That was because it was at McCallie. BG doesn't do that.

It would be very odd if they were not.

I would think it is one of the few times in the last three years that BG is considered the underdog. I'll root for the Purples against any out of state team, in state, not so much.
