Colerain completed only 4 passes..........but got 234 yards out of them

With Dixie Heights win over Turpin, T over Colerain and Dayton's loss to New Miami, this year's record against Ohio is now 4 KY wins to 9 OH wins with two more results to come tonight.

They threw 7 times. That is a wide open passing game by Colerain standards.

It was exactly as I thought it would be. Donald Brooks is a man among boys.

 

Colerain just doesn't have the horses defensively this year. There was no answer for Brooks at all. He had 200 yards and 4 TD's at the half. The defense did a much better job in the second half.

 

Truth be told, Colerain really gave this game away. Their lost fumbles on the snap just put Trinity in too good a position NOT to take advantage of it.

It was a fun game and a good series. I hope the schools find a wat to make it work.

The Rocks offense left a ton of points out there, should've had at least 43-50 points. Donald Brooks was unstoppable, offensive line deserves a helmet sticker!! Very shocked at all the blown coverages by the Rocks D that led to easy scores by the Cardinals, hopefully we get this corrected ASAP. It's always nice though to correct your mistakes after a W than an L, great win. Go Rocks!!

I doubt Trinity and Highlands beating winless football teams is going to silence the haters.

 

Most rational football fans understand that Trinity is playing a monumentally tough schedule.

Colerain is very very young from what I understand..I would of thought T would of beaten them by a lot more.:idunno:

In Cincinnati, really? Yes, I thought Trinity was capable of a wider margin of victory. The Rocks maintained a relatively safe two score lead throughout most of the game. Colerain did score on a 68 yard pass, 40 yard run, 67 yard pass, and a 96 yard pass. Coach Cobb will need to do a little more tweaking for Cocoa this week. A very questionable fumble call inside the five negated one scoring opportunity. Brooks appeared down when his forearm hit the ground and the ball came loose afterwards. A confused crew decision not to measure on a fourth down play inside the 3 derailed another Rocks scoring opportunity. Trinity had a fourth and two from the three. I believe the officials thought it was fourth and goal and the sticks never moved after the ball was awarded to Colerain after the play. Both of these calls came with Trinity holding their 9 point lead late in the fourth quarter. Alas, this was probably Trinity's last weekend playing the Cardinals with the KHSAA decision to bust up the Super District.
