In many ways 9/11/01 feels like yesterday, can't believe it has been 13 years.

I'll never be able to forget almost every detail of that morning in 2001.

I'm not sure how one could ever forget. I was talking to someone over the weekend and it will definitely be my generation's, "Where were you when..."

I also remember it clearly. My most vivid memory is picking my son up from Kindergarten and while watching him play in the yard with our dog I thought "his world will never be the same and he doesn't even realize it".

I think the memory that sticks out to me the most is how bright blue the sky was that afternoon and there were no planes. I'll always remember the news breaking in on the Morehead radio station. We thought it was some sort of bizarre joke at first. Then, I got to class and the professor told us to stay if we wanted or to go be with our families if we felt compelled to do so. I watched the second plane hit live during that class as we all gathered around the television.

Was at work, and caught a glimpse of it on the lobby TV. I'll never forget that day.

Thoughts and prayers out today to all those families impacted by 9/11 and what has followed in Iraq and around the world. And thanks to all those who have served in this fight from first responders here to our service men and women worldwide.

I was signing a document this morning, and noted to the person waiting the date. That followed with the brief conversation of where were you when...

 

I hope we don't have to have another day/weeks like that again.

Agreed. My oldest was early in his frosh year at CCH in the old building. Hard to believe.

I should add that my youngest is now in the Navy. He was 8.

After the 3rd plane hit the Pentagon, we were told there were 3 aircraft "missing". After Flight 93, we thought 2 more attacks coming.
