Must say I am shocked to see John Hardin in there at all. They are 0-2. Beat by Seneca and then totally dominated by Central Hardin.

I kind of agree but those losses don't mean they aren't a top 10 team in 5A.

I think BG and Pulaski County are at a different level than the rest of the class.

I think Warren Central is 3. Don't have any reason thusfar to think Madison Southern is more than a 1 man team.

 

Looking forward to seeing how Harlan County does against Belfry.

 

John Hardin will continue to slide until district play, but if they can keep anyone healthy I still think in the end they'll be #4 on this list.

John Hardin is free falling...at this point based off two lackluster games and also a lackluster scrimmage from what I have heard... not sure if they aren't even too high at #6.

 

I am not a fan of Madison Southern at #3. Mad. Southern to me is a very mediocre team who just so happens to have an elite individual player. Think they are more of a 5-7 team and find it tough to put them ahead of Anderson County or Warren Central. Think that North and South Oldham may be getting a bit overlooked as well.

Agree ATL on the Oldham County teams, but for me I haven't tracked them long enough especially against good teams to feel good about speaking up for them. Doesn't South O play Anderson this week? That will be telling.

If Cooper beats Boone this week, I'd say they deserve at least some thought. If Cooper can go 2-1 over the next three (Boone, Campbell County, SK), I'd say they could be considered one of the top 5 or 6 5A teams. Go 3-0, and you're top 5. Regardless, the next 3 games will be brutal. And I'd say the only sure win will be Grant County. If Cooper can finish 6-4, I think they have a chance to make a deep run in the playoffs. They'll certainly be ready for the jump to 6A next year.

Cooper is at number 11 this week in the BGP rankings. They are right on the edge.
