Plus, the FAA has stood by their decision concerning drones, a school can't say that you can't fly above it. The only real regulation concerns them being around airports and government bases.

 

Looking at LexCath's drone video, it would create an issue being that low if it wasn't authorized by the school, if it was over the actual play.

Maybe it was a fed ex drone delivering plant' sprinter parts.

There was one hovering around at the Ashland - Raceland game also. It crashed at least twice prior to the start of the game. I didn't notice it during the game, but then again I wasn't looking for it then either.

:lol2: I love that outside of Jefferson County and the Northern Kentucky counties, schools like Lexington Catholic, Newport Central Catholic, Covington Catholic and Owensboro Catholic are all just referred to as "Catholic".

People do get lazy with the term around the Bluegrass and Eastern Kentucky area. Comes being the only Catholic school from Lexington to WV and down to Tennessee playing football in the area. I would bet the short name is used a lot in Owensboro as well. I know the people of NKY and Louisville hate this.

BTW, saw a drone at Louisville game last night. It did not buzz the field nearly as close the one Friday night at (Lexington) Catholic and seemed to never be directly over the field. It had the red and green lights on it like the one used Friday.

I saw some of the video it took earlier this morning. It is filming for the ACC Digital Network. They put up a bunch of content on YouTube and use video from the drone.

I am sure every closet terrorist this side of a sand dune is figuring out ways to wreak havoc using drones hence why I would rather not have to see them overhead in a crowd gathering.
