August 30, 201412 yr If they don't win some conference games then it won't matter. Plenty of other bigger schools are doing the same. Is Rice really going to challenge ND, or South Dakota challenge Oregon, so on and so forth. UK has one of the tougher schedules in the nation this year. I don't think coming out of the gates playing another top 25 team would really make that much of a difference especially if they're not that good. Until Kentucky is of the caliber of an NDU or Oregon, that comparison doesn't apply. They don't have to play a mess of top 25 teams to start out. Just something better than a bunch of guaranteed wins where they develop a false sense of security. As I've said a million times before, these gimme wins just make the shock of entering SEC play that much worse because nothing they did today will work against the Floridas of the world.
August 30, 201412 yr That will come, hopefully, in time. Soft scheduling is the perfect prescription for this team at this time. Disagree wholeheartedly. Medium scheduling would do them far more good than drilling a JV team and trying to climb 10 rungs on the ladder in two weeks.
