I could be wrong but I will be very surprised if anyone scores 42 points on us. If our offense can't move the ball and allows Catholic to have short field they will score some points just not sure about 42. It has been a long time that a state school has scored a lot of points on us. Should be interesting.

 

I only say 42 because of the pace of the game and the plays we will run. They were very cautious with their formations, plays, and pace. They are going to reveal it all on Friday. And to be honest I think the players and staff want to make a statement. A team like BG will force us to play an A game in all 3 phases.

Something new I am trying this year. When I have no clue how a game will turn out I'll go with my heart and a score of 8-7. Two point conversion for the win.

 

I expect a score in 20s or lower. Neither team will score much.

So you have LexCath as the underdog? All the talk of BG being down this year has me thinking BG is the underdog on the road this week. Some of my Mercer County folks weren't impressed and said LexCath will beat BG by 2 TDs.

Lex Cath defense gave up boat loads of points last year and they lost a couple of good defensive players. I would think that Catholics defense would not beaa good as last year. BGs defense seemed to be strong aganst a fast Mercer team. But i do not think you take Much from BGs game or Lex Caths game , both of there opponents were not very competitive. That being said i think BG wins because of defense theres and the lack of Catholics def.

Not really. They want to win state. If they get the streak along the way then so be it. The streak was started by guys who are no longer there and the vibe I am getting from BG and the player I spoke with is that they are work in hard to get better every week. The streak is not something they are focused on.

 

We fans want it for bragging rights but all I want is to beat Central and win state. Anything else is icing on the cake.

I think one of the variables will be the weather. If it rains a lot (like the long term forecast suggests) I give the advantage to BG. With sloppy weather I think it will limit the LC passing game game. I'll take the Purples 21 - 14

 

Well I'm on my phone and it says it's looking like it will be sunny on Friday, hopefully it is. Nothing worse than watching a rainy game, I did like playing in them however.
