While I would love to see it I think those predicting HHS to blow out CCHS are way off base. Camels have a good team playing at home in an emotional game vs HHS playing first game with a lot of new starters and a new coach. Love the confidence, just think it needs to be tempered a bit.

56-7 Highlands. Campbell is a good football team but nowhere near highlands on any level. I do like what Campbell CO is doing by scheduling this ball game. But at this point, It will not be close. But credit to CC for playing this game. It will help them when it comes to their 6A district.

 

So you think a 50 point beat down and running clock somehow will help CC prepare for 6a? If this ends up being the score there is a good chance both teams JVs will play as much as the varsity.

I don't think I'm too far out on a limb here......HHS will score twice in one quarter on Friday. Don't think two scrimmages are a basis for the success of their offensive potential.

The thing to remember here is that the reins are now off since the season is beginning. Real curious to see how this offense goes. The only concern that I have concerning the offense is what they do in short yardage situations. They got down inside the 10 last Friday and could not punch the ball in and in fact stayed in the spread offense. Could we see a "WEEBEE" package in this game to gain those tough yards?

I would not take much into the two scrimmages...one not sure what Highlands worked on on offense and two.....CC is not Trinity or St. X....just saying...no disrespect to CC but i don't think they have the players on D that Trinity and X have JMO.

As far as the ground and pound goes by CCHS, you do know that this may be one of Highlands biggest DL ever, By no means did Cincy St X ground and pound or as some of our Southern KY enthusiasts would say "Smashmouth Football" us up and down the field.

 

You might be surprised that this is not the Highlands typical small and quick OL of years past.

No, I wasn't aware....going to be great to see the birds top dl in awhile against, from recent memory, one of CCs best lines in the last 5 years. Going to be closer than what the pundits profess. If not, I'm buying a cold beverage on me Sweep at next years Dixie-Highlands game! :thumb: If birds win by less than 17, beverage on you based on that confidence of yours.

If yes, does anyone know if the new announcer will be doing play by play? I am thinking about attending this game Friday and this will impact whether I drive to Campbell County or go elsewhere.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the ID. Not sure which child this is but your dad was a great man and will be missed. I agree I would love to hear him one more time.

Greg Rose did not do play by play in recent years unless I missed something. He kind of did it the first year he did the announcing but after that he announced the game and that was it. I am assuming the new announcer will do the same thing.

RIP to Mr. Rose and all but this is one Cake Eater who will be happy not to have to hear that stupid announcement ever again. To the new announcer, congratulations and please do not continue this "tradition".
