Sure, based on those particular parameters. Best? Past two years. Dominant? Show me where my facts weren't correct. Did CCHS win back to back districts! Did Ryle have a couple big years recently? Did SK go 2-9 three years back? Your definition of dominant is strange.

 

I didn't say your facts were wrong. I just didn't necessarily use the same measuring stick as you . Some of that is subjective measuring as well. That's all. When I think of NKY 6A football I think of SK and then everyone else.

My thoughts are it looks that Simon Kenton scheduled this game the year after Holy Cross won the state title. Who could have possibly known they would fall that hard that fast?

Holy Cross won the Title in 2011, Simon Kenton and Holy Cross started playing each other last season.

That Holy Cross championship team got it clicking at the right time. It was all about Kyle Fuller at QB. He really put it together in the playoff run and led them to the title. I don't think Holy Cross was better than NCC that year. But they beat NCC when it counted and Fuller made the plays throughout the playoffs that got them the title. So, to answer the question, yes I believe it was a bit of a fluke but that team did have some talent.

 

I'd say there were quiet a few special players on this team, and they wanted it more than the Breds.

Dominant in the regular season maybe not but making the regional final 5 of the last 6 years and outlasting all other NKY 6a schools is.

IMO the first team that comes to mind when I think of NKY 6A is SK. After that I have to look every other team up. This is not a knock on the other teams in their district but as of late SK seems to be the team that usually makes a strong push in the playoffs from NKY 6A. As for their schedule, I would like to see them schedule more teams from out of state like Trinity. Not sure if they have the money for travel or not? I feel this would expose the kids to different levels of competition and would draw more interest from the SK students/parent fan base. Anyway Good luck to the NKY 6A teams look forward to seeing you in the playoffs.

Those figures included playoffs, I think it was 2-1 or 2-2 vs NKY opponents but am not sure. I guess I have a more discriminating opinion of what domination involves, I agree they are the best of NKY 6A over the past several years, for what that's worth.
